OK, I'm hooked!! Post a link to these badges or small write up of where you got it and how it went on.

My Brilliant Black Diamond paint would be perfect for some Carbon Fiber look!

Do like I did and order a vinyl wrap and do your own overlay. Just get a gloss carbon fiber wrap instead of the mat black I have. All you need is a heat gun/blow dryer, the wrap, and a nice new hobby knife blade. I did some inlays with it also, made my own hood spears, and wrapped the grille. I kind of went nuts with it. First time playing with the stuff. The color is almost exact. It just doesn't have the shine that clear coat gives you. All 3m 1080 wrap.

Question here. 20210310_153756[1].jpgDoing a body color on some of the badges, and was just wondering what other thoughts are on the E-torque color. The stock electric blue, or maybe black, red, chrome, or something else.

Sort of on the same lines, but how hard/pain in the ass is it to use a eraser wheel to take off the factory pinstripes? Should I do anything to the paint after they come off?

Were the pin stripes painted? If its just a sticker I have done it several times. Its slow. You can use your finger nail in some warm sunny weather and get it off. Goo gone at the end and then wax it.

I used an eraser wheel from NAPA I think, to get rid of all the adhesive on my '05 Duramax when I removed the door guards along the bottom of the doors. Worked great, and there was a lot of adhesive to remove. After I was done I just used a little polish and wax to finish it off.

Sounds good. I figured there would be a little paint maintenance after the stripes came off. I figure if I am dipping the grill/tailgate badge I may as well do the pins while I'm out there.

I did it last to a 94 ranger back in 04. It took me a few hours to get it off the bed, but it did come off. I had to replace the bed due to an accident and the used bed had them on it.
