Keep in mind you have storage in the floor under the rear floor mats.

Lone Star is not an option around here - I assume it must be only available in Crew Cab? Quads do not have under floor storage.

And if you read way back to near the beginning you will see I have the same complaint about underseat storage with fold flat floor like my '15 had. Got to be my biggest complaint.

the automatic lights.

No matter the weather, if its set to auto, they're on. Bugs me, because during the day, i have to use the stupid dimmer switch to set it to max brightness, if not, I cant see the gauges or infotainment system.

Definitely a defect. Mine are more sensitive (i.e. they come on when I don't think they need to) but anything near full daylight in open range they are off, even with full cloud cover.

There is a lot I like.

One thing that is disappointing is the lack of a spare tire. That stupid donut doesn't count. Especially if I need it when towing something. Is this thing a truck or a Honda Accord?

I would have rather gotten a bare steel wheel and mounted my own tire like I did with my 93.

Now I have to spend money to dispose of the donut so I can mount a serviceable tire. Either that or burn it on Earth Day.

I understand the complaint. But (knocking on wood) I cannot remember the last time I got a flat. The only one I can remember that was actually debilitating was when my wife was driving our 1976 Saab 99.

But take heart, even a donut has to be better than the solution provided by the factory for my Porsche - a bottle of tire sealant and an air compressor...

Well, agree with that all you want

I will!

I know I don’t make the rules and I’m clearly just stating my own opinion and even though there are no rules of the thread that says what someone can ***** about and what they can’t..... a complaint like that is every bit legitimate; but whining because your truck doesn’t have a CD player when you could’ve very easily shopped around a little bit more for a truck that had one, no right to whine irregardless of the thread title and if you do, don’t complain if your comment gets ridiculed. If ya can’t take the heat then stay out of the kitchen.

Sure, you could say that it's not worthy to whine about, and I could say it's not worth anyone's time to continuously come into these threads to challenge people who are just doing what they were invited to do. It would be nice to have that much time to be on these forums getting into debates, but I'm way to busy for that. And I'm not a debater, don't see the point, it's just a waste of time.

However, I do like checking in with ya every once in a while, make sure you're still doing your thing.

You probably have the Big Horn trim which is the equivalent to the Lone Star trim in Texas. It is available in both crew and quad cab.

I don’t know much about those higher end cars but I would think being able to refill and seal light punctures in those premium tires would be the better option to maintain that car’s handling but then again, a blown tire, no matter how expensive the tires, there’s not much you can do with a can of sealant and an air compressor. But then again, most people who can afford cars like that probably wouldn’t even use that compressor and tire stuff, they’d just sit back and wait for the road service to show up.

Duly noted on your opinion. You don’t agree with it and that’s fine but if you don’t like me “challenging” them then why do you spend time “challenging” me? Doesn’t make sense.

And you could say it’s not worth anybody’s time to comment on the posts given but why try to apply what you think, to me? If you don’t agree with it then ok. Leave it at that. I just think it’s funny some of the responses. It’s almost like these threads were created just to see what people will whine about but as I said, if ya can’t handle anybody picking on your post then don’t post. It’s that simple.

But I’m still here, being active on the forums.

TBH it seems like a lame thing to be pissed about, but the donut is low rent as ****. We're talking lower rent than homeless folks low rent. It's absurd in a full size truck and if this is the manufacturer's attitude towards the buyers I almost regret going back to "Dodge" after my 13 year break.

I have only needed a spare on one of my 10ish pull over to the side of the road for tire issues incidents. but when I needed a spare, I was glad I had a real spare tire and not some bike tire FCA stuck up under the bed hoping someone wouldn't notice. I had to run on that spare for a couple weeks until my new tires came in. The remainder of the tire issues, I was able to fix on the side of the road with a plug kit and a compressor. I would have been happier if they just supplied me a compressor--somewhat off topic, but with only one 12V socket and a ton of 110 socket's I may have to rethink my current compressors.

I like a lot of things about this truck-my fourth Dodge flavor truck, but this is a pretty big annoyance for me. I talked a ton of **** about my Tacoma's plastic bed-I guess I'll have to talk **** about the stupid Ram donut that I'm tossing in the trash this summer.

Like I said, I like to check in on you every once in a while. Key part being, once in a while. Not day in and day out doing the same thing over and over, that takes up a lot more time. Is the little bit of time I use to interact with you on here occasionally wasted time? Sure, but it's very little wasted time.

"If you don't agree with it then ok, leave it at that", I would suggest taking your own advice. If you don't like people complaining about things, on a thread that specifically asks for that, no harm to just pass it by and let people complain, right?

I'm not telling you to stop, I'm just saying I can't occasionally resist popping in and saying hello occasionally. I don't have to time or energy to do more than that, I don't know how you do it!

Really, the only thing I really don’t particularly care for is when people like you spend so much time retorting my replies over and over again. lol. I never said anything about not liking what people post here. I think it’s funny more than anything and really think it’s funny when people seem to get so infuriating mad at me for being kind of the Mr Obvious around here. Lol. That’s why I told you if you don’t like what I do then leave it be because you can’t tell me not to do something that you’re already doing yourself. It doesn’t work that way.

But look, I only told you what I told you because even though you say you aren’t a debater and that you have better things to do then why do you spend so much time debating me? That’s what has me baffled is that you use the “premise” of this thread to basically tell me over and over to essentially leave people alone and that’s just it; I’m not bothering people and just because the thread for a lack of better words promotes it, I don’t think people should get angry when I reply to someone “who doesn’t like that their Ram” because it didn’t come with a CD player when they so easily could’ve gotten one when they bought their truck, whine-thread or not. Either get a truck that has what you want or add it later. Don’t ***** because you don’t have something. Make it happen, it’s that simple.

Nah, I just like getting a long drawn out response out of you every month or two, otherwise no, I don't possess the time or effort to keep prodding you. Our post counts really says it all, you have nearly 3x the amount of posts that I do, despite joining the site 2.5 years later than I did. And a great deal of your posts seem to be here or in the 4th gen "what dont you like" thread. Clearly, you sir, have a lot of time on your hands. Good for you for that.

Again, like I said, I would take your own advice. If you can't handle someone calling you out for whining in here, about other peoples complaints, don't post in here. Otherwise, whine away and be prepared for my occasional response.

Cya in a month or two corny :rotflmao::rotflmao::rotflmao::rotflmao::rotflmao::rotflmao::rotflmao::rotflmao::rotflmao::rotflmao::rotflmao:

To contribute something to the thread before my exit, I also really dislike that the longhorn didn't get the sport hood option when the limited did with the night edition trim. Really like the sport hood and would love to see it on the longhorn with more colormatch, small complaint but that's what I'm here for!

You crack me up, man. You spend all this time worrying about what I do but fail to realize that you’re no different. The only slight difference is, if there was one, is you think you’re protected by this thread and you aren’t. Anything posted on this site is open for discussion. You tell me not to be worried about it, yet you worry about me, over and over, around once a month, like you pointed out. Give it a rest. I’m not going to stop doing what I do. This is a web forum and I’m going to use it accordingly. My responses are not whining. I’m not whining in the least little bit. I’ve told you why I hang here a lot but you don’t listen. You’d rather troll me and at the same time, ***** about my responses. You make a whole lotta sense, pal. Definitely a lot of hypocrisy going on here.

But what can I say? I’m an active member here and who cares if the majority of my posts could be in this thread, or the other one like it, which I doubt.

See ya in a month, I guess. Or in the next few hours or so.

if we're still talking about what we dont like about our ram trucks, I would say I wish mine had the step bumper like the '17 gmc sierra of mine had. now I step up on top of the back tire to reach stuff in the bed and as a senior citizen...getting harder to do.

Yeah well, the truck knew that you were carrying a basket of laundry. A bucket of tools and that puppy would have opened right up!
I'll try that next. Laundry, computer tower, groceries and most recently box of hydraulic fittings kept me locked out until I put it down. Any tools you figure would give me a better chance or just a bucket of wrenches and maybe a hammer for good measure?
