My problem is mine don't have Android auto. Missed it by 6 months.. I've got Bluetooth for my Pandora but, no navigation..
Might look around at the junkyards if you can find you a replacement radio that not only has the navigation but also has the capabilities of the android auto and the Apple CarPlay. But you might look around also because you might find you a solution to add CarPlay and android auto capability to your current radio.

Because it's an added on feature. It's preprogrammed in the UConnect but you have to pay for the pin to use it. It's robbery.
Pretty sure that most vehicles sold today are designed to accept gasoline (or diesel). But they don't (please correct me if I'm wrong!!) come with a lifetime supply of fuel.

Similarly, when you buy a Kindle, you immediately get access to hundreds of thousands, if not MILLIONS of books. But you have to pay for most of them. What a rip-off!!

For the same reason you are not allowed to give someone your Netflix account login, you have to "pay to play" if you want GPS in your vehicle.

Granted, it's over-priced, both initially as well as for updates, but when you buy a vehicle you accept the license terms. If you don't like them, don't buy it. Find a 1964 D100 on CraigsList. And use "free" Google Maps on your smartphone.

Where do I start? Love the truck overall, but... hate the "safety measure" that disengages the tranny in reverse when the driver's door is opened! I was raised on a farm and like to see what's up by opening the door!(So over the govt overreach crap) Also, too many of the electronic features are heat sensitive! Colorado plains can get hot in the summer, I shouldn't have to sacrifice by losing cruise control and rear window motor because of heat! Okay, I'm finished, I think :)

I agree.. the name of the thread is name something you don't like about your ram. So that is what I don't like.. lol.. I hear the gos is pretty shabby anyways. My uconnect doesn't connect to Android auto, I missed it by like 2 months. I got the 8.4 but can not connect to Android auto.. what a double bummer. I guess my complaint is not the paying for it, it's the part of paying $600 for it.

Just as I’ve said I don’t know how many times, if you put that seatbelt on either over you or behind you, you can back that Ram in reverse all over that farm with that door open, no problem.

I have no idea what you’re talking about in that last part about electronic features being heat sensitive….

#1 pet peeve - you can't turn the radio off! Mute is not sticky and the radio turns on when you start the truck

#2 pet peeve - no option for a telescoping steering wheel. This sucks for tall guys.

LOL
That is very weird. I think the only vehicle I have ever been in without a power off radio button.

You know something that bothers me? The horn.

It's more of a pet peeve not having a courteous level of horn. It's big HONK or nothing else. Can't go half/quick honk like ALL my past vehicles.

Rotary shifter Eco mode and oil filter location. But absolutely no regrets on this (first)new truck. My 3 k oil changes might be considered old school but we will see if the 5.7 and the 8hp70 can take relentless forced induction pounding. 15 k now on a 19.All fluids are changed to amsoil.

Egh, It is a pain in the *** but you just got a learn how to hit the button right. I can double tap my horn in a polite way rather than just blaring it at someone.

Just so you know… In case you haven’t thought about it already but you’re probably obliterating your warranty by going past 10,000 miles on your oil changes.

That would be cool. But only just several months ago, I ended up having to replace my horns while I was on vacation. One of them quit working so I replaced them with those Piaa super Bass horns and now my horn sounds like one of those loud, pow tone old-school Cadillac horns. I kind of like it…☺️

Definitely why I bought new.The Last was a 14 glk250 with 9k when I looked at the service record it’s first oil change was at 9k,never heard of that being normal till then.Im a firm believer that the oil filtering is what goes first, unless you install a aftermarket filtering system 3k is my choice.Stopped worrying about the warranty since it’s supercharged and tuned with a unlocked pcm.

I’m not telling anyone what to their engine. But know for a fact that things will have to go scorched earth before I’ll buy used again. This is how a impossible oil change image.jpgimage.jpgjob was made easy by Procharger

Ok, I am not reading through 482 pages, so forgive me if I repeat a few... and some may be fixed on newer models

I have a 2010 1500 Laramie, things I don't like (for my age truck)
1. The rattling noise as I slow down around 20 kmph that comes from the engine when it is in eco mode.
2. I have loaded a ton of songs onto the hard drive for the stereo, but for the life of me I can't figure out how to make it randomly play the songs, it is either alphabetically or you have to make a play list.
3. the horrible stock light bulbs that come with the truck. Luckily LED replacements for the bulbs are available now.
4. Did anybody mention the horn yet?
5. Oil changes and plug changes are brutal.
6. I know you don't get trucks for gas mileage, but seriously this thing wont get 20 mpg on the highway. I had an '04 Cummins that would get 30 mpg.
7. Not being able to stream music from my cell phone, I can connect to talk on it, but no music streaming. Guess that is too advanced for a 2010.
