I've been doing the same thing the last couple vehicles...trade every couple years. I'm going to keep the Ram for longer though now that the kinks are worked out on the 8.4 radio.

545 is the worst transmission they ever built. Go to any shop and they will tell you they have touching them because they keep coming back. I have billet clutch pack drums and I still keep burning out overdrive. 5 times will all the best parts. Dyno and tuned. They are horrible

I had over 130K when I sold my 09.. Yes it did some weird shifting at times but never was in the shop.

I think the 545 is a fine trans as long as you don't go wild with mods. It can't handle the power.
