i believe only the regular cabs don't come with the filter?
I’m not sure really, maybe only certain years and trim levels? But after seeing that they didn’t even want to include the engine too plastic cover I figured that there’s no way they put in the cabin air filter lol …. Maybe it was either or … ?

i bought the cabin filter for my 21 reg cab without checking to see if it was in there, so hopefully i didn't waste any money on that.
as to the engine cover, yeah i was a little shocked and even called my salesman about it.
not that it matters i would have thrown it out anyways

I actually emailed my sales guy to ask if when prepping the truck for delivery if their guys forgot to put it back on the engine. Apparently this is something the factory does now to save a buck. If I had known that I would have taken the cover off my 2019 before I traded it in. Feels like a rip off to buy a new truck and they just don’t give you things that came with your identical model truck not 2 years previous.

My understanding was roughly 15-16 was when they started putting the cabin filters in. I haven't looked to see if my 16 has one yet. Keep forgetting about it.

FedEx decided to stab the box containing my sport tail lights. Which broke the right side. I notified the seller and he has got a claim started with them for a refund. For now I installed them anyways to box my bright trimmed ones off. One more step to a tastefully de-chromed limited truck. (Old picture also attached for reference)

Can’t even notice it 10’ away in the picture :waytogo:

hopefully the turn around time won’t be so bad.

So I searched the forum for a thread like this and didn't find anything. I figured it would be fun to have a thread that everyone can watch what everyone is doing each week.

This week I put on Steelcraft nerf bars, and right now I'm getting the permaplating put on the truck. This way it gets a real good bath.
I thought this was a 5th Gen section

They asked about box damage so I sent the seller pictures of the hole in the box. We'll see what happens. Hopefully they take care of it. If I have to buy another tail light out of pocket it won't break my heart. Just annoying since the box even said fragile on it and they still threw it around and had something puncture the box.

Installed the WeatherTech floor mats I bought from another member. They fit just like WT's should.

FINALLY washed the inner/outer wheels today. Been dying to that since December. Really tough to do living out here in the upper Northeast during the winter months.
Also detailed the interior. Vacuumed about 2 weeks ago when it was 60 degrees out, so it wasn't too bad.

A little chilly out there, but I got it done. The truck needs some serious loving before the summer time. :oops:o_O:oops: lol

Took her to the shop and washed her yesterday, while I was waiting on a client to show up with their car. I put some new stickers on her as well.

I was originally planning to pick up a used topper 2 hours away that was in great shape yesterday, but the seller sold it out from under me even though I was in contact with them not 30 minutes before our scheduled pick-up time. Now I have a 3-hour drive to go tomorrow morning to go to a truck supply shop to purchase a new Leer 100R topper.
