Your fine if your Bilstein leveled. Your CV angles will always be within the original parameters. Your geometry is the same as with stock struts. Your lifted with preload.
The folks that put a spacer on top of the oem strut are the ones that will experience possible CV failure.

This is the greatest repository of "Bilstein ****" Ive ever seen! I just got a 2021 Laramie and will be adding bilsteins. Im stuck on whether or not to do 2.1 or 2.8.

Regardless, Ive spent the last 4 days going through these pages. This really is a great reference thread for anyone considering bilsteins, and what is involved with other modifications. UCAs, etc

Personally, I would go with 2.1. I had my truck at 2.8 for a few years and ended up going down to 2.1. I didn't like the CV angles at 2.8 and when towing it was nose high. JMO but I would go with 2.1.

Agreed ^^^

I'm at 2.1 raised on my Bilstein 5100's using the stock UCA's & stock springs all around for over four years now on my 19' 4x4 and never one issue. I'm also close to 150,000Km's of travel on my truck, too and she rides like new.

I'm running LT295/65R20 tires (equivalent to 35's) in the summer and love the handling and control. No rubbing either!

Your truck looks great!

5100s at 2.1 is how 4x4 1500s should sit from the factory. They have them way to low in the front for a 4x4 IMO

I think they do it for the fuel economy ratings......like the crazy ass gigantic front air dam that Toyota put on all the new Tacomas except the TRD Pro & Trailhunter.

True, it probably gets 1% better fuel economy which is huge for CAFE...

Thank you, and agreed!
A slight rake to the front is all that's needed.
When I see new Ram's on the road with the stock suspension I feel it looks odd to me.

Bilstein 5100s on the middle and bottom truck. Both set at 2.8 inches. Middle photo is stock wheels on 275/60r20. Bottom is 20x10 with -24 offset with 35x12.5r20 Mazzini Mud Contenders. Didn't rub until I went with an offset.

2" spacer lift when I bought it with stock sized tires
IMG_6006.JPG

Bilstein's set at 2.8" up front with RC forged UCA's, stock in the rear. Nearly worn out 275/60/20s
IMG_2910.JPG

Now with 35x11.50x20 Nittos. Truck is 1/4" lower in the front, perfect

Stock height, brand new 275/65R20s Cooper AT3 XLTs. Debadged.

Bilstein 6112s @ 2.8” and ReadyLift UCAs front, Bilstein 5100s and MotoFab 1.5” spacers rear. Still have 1 1/8” of rake which is about what I was aiming for. (Some Icon 1.5” rear coils on the way.)
EDIT: Measured again after alignment, rake is closer to 1 1/2". The 2.8" seems to have net'd only about +2 1/2" in the front only a day after install--so, I expect it will settle even a bit lower. Regardless, I like the way setup looks now. I may add a 1/2" spacer on top of the struts once Icons are swapped in for the rear spacers depending on where everything settles.

Also put on some 1/2” Titan wheel spacers with hub rings to widen the stance on my stock 20x8s.

2022 Warlock with Bils all around. The front is maxed out at 2.8 - OE wheels and tires.

This pic was taken on a slight decline, but I do wish it was a bit more level..

5100s 2.1 front, +35% capacity coils and 5100s rear. There is about 600# in the truck between back seat and bed and it sits level so I will probably throw some trim spacers in the rear.
