It was raining on the drive home. Now it sits!

It's been so long, I don't think words can describe how we're all feeling!!! It's been a long hard fought battle! You have endured more obstacles than any man should ever have to endure! The fat lady has finally sung her song and now you have a beautiful truck!

Enjoy bro....ENJOY!!!!

What's funny is everyone goes on about how fast the trucks are but to me it's a dog. I guess it's all relative. lol.

Nice truck though.

Holy sweet baby jesus!! You finally have it!! Looks amazing man, again...congratulations.

Those headlights look like they were done by JJ at retroshop or something though. Are those stock headlights?

I can't believe you finally got your truck lol

Well, it's fast for a 6,000 pound truck. Lol. I know mine seemed kinda doggy when I first got it. Seemed to wake up a bit after I got a few thousand miles on it. Definitely needs a tuner though to dial back the torque management.

Congrats on getting your new truck finally!

Come on you can't compare it to a G8. But go drive a Chevy or a Ford then see what you think. Better yet Just drive your long awaited Beauty and enjoy it. And Tow your Boat for heck sake.

I wouldn't say I'm comparing it to the G8, but come-on. When you get out of one and into another it's hard to not tell a difference. lol

I will say that I can already tell getting the 3.92 rear axle was a mistake. With this trans a 3.55 would have been more than enough gear. I'm running 2000rpm at 71mph. THAT is a MPG ouch.

Boat sits on a lift in the lake all summer so it's all done for the season. lol

We'll use the truck now and then, but for the most part, it'll sit in the garage. I WILL be driving it this winter. My G8 is NOT going through another winter.

I cut the grass last night so I didn't get a chance to play with it at all. Honestly, I have no "want" to. That's pretty bad.... I have a hate relationship with a brand new truck. Thanks Chrysler for everything!

Chewy Got Truck!

"Un-freak'n bah-leave-able" I'm happy for you Chris--and about freak'n time! :banana-mario:

Since you have to keep it under wraps, so to speak, are you going to start installing your mods and clearing out the living room or live with the wife's pointed comments and hints a bit longer :uhoh2:???

Hahaha... Yeah, I need to de-badge it, wash it, and give it some Adams love.

I had them PDI it, but they didn't wash it. Washing is where you get most of the scratches in your paint. Have you ever seen how they wash vehicles. They use the nastiest old wash rags. NO THANKS!

If I don't spend 15 hours detailing it, I'll be surprised. The interior is DRY! I'll get some Adams Leather conditioner on it right away and let it soak in. The paint looks OK, but will be clayed, polished, and sealed. The windows will be clayed and sealed as well.

I need to get it in for tint too.

All other mods will be done when time permits. I'd really like to get the muffler on sooner than later.

Oooh, hope you don't have any service issues. It's kinda hard to put a grenade through a fax machine, but I'd hate to be your service writer then. :disgust:

Spent a few hours on it tonight. Full interior conditioning, fixed one of the RamBox's that failed to open (fingers crossed it's fixed), debadged, and installed the tailgate shock. Found one chip in the paint above the tail light which is already rusting too! NICE! I see the Chrysler quality is shining on this one!

I debadged the whole truck in 15 minutes. I have a trick way of removing the stickers and MAN is it easy.

The exterior now needs washed, clayed and sealed.

Oh, I removed the cover on the engine. No need to trap MORE heat in the intake plenum. Less heat soak is better.

I can't stand driving around a billboard and when correcting paint, badges are nothing but a menace. I know what it is, I don't care if anyone else does. When Chrysler starts paying me for advertising space, I'll put them back.
