Hey man its not your fault. You did help me a lot its just that I still dont have any brights lol And my low beams, the one in the picture, kind of go in different directions. My left headlight seems like it goes off into on coming traffic too much and my right headlight is pointed too much down. I lie the look of them but I dont like not having brights if I need them. And I dont want to get a ticket because the cops around where I live will write my ass a ticket without hesitation if they feel like being a ********.

These are they ones im looking at:http://www.amazon.com/Passenger-Hea...6748AD/dp/B008G3KCHE/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top

Just regular oem style fromt the factory. All the reviews say they are really good replacements and put out really good light. They already come with two bulbs and both housings and for 75 bucks I think thats a steal.

I have them and they suck, I can only see with my high beams on

RangerWeaver do you have the ones from the factory when the truck was first made? Or do you have a replacement set?

dapepper I like those. Which ones did you have before these? You should be okay with these since there is no wiring involved. Show us some pics of them once you get them installed.

I can see with my factory housings, but they're not swell.
Oddly enough, the truck I can see best with is the 76 with its sealed beam headlights.

Get 99+ Sport housings with GE Nighthawk bulbs and the RIK-RAM conversion relay harness from Daniel Stern Lighting.

The quads on my last '01 Sport were damaged when the previous owner was broadsided by a motorcycle. The passenger side housing would bounce and shake while going down the road. Looked everywhere for a replacement passenger side Sport housing and even a used, yellowed one from a salvage yard was $200 for just one housing.

Ended up going with these Anzo headlights and the output was awesome with the bulbs provided, compared to the factory housings with standard halogen bulbs. The only thing was, since I had a Sport, I needed a 2-into-1 harness to run a dual filament bulb and the only harness I could find was from Spec-D Tuning. While it worked, if I turned the factory fog lamps on, the high beams would also turn on. Spec-D was useless at troubleshooting that problem...

Well hopefully these factory replacements will be good. I have really good sylvania's im going to put in with the new ones. My old factory ones were so yellowed that it was no wonder why it was hard to see. These new ones are clear and all the reviews said that the light output was really good. Thats all I really want right now is clear, bright, legal output.

And also have my brights back lol

I'm going LED when I get the cash. Not as bright as HID, but still bright enough.

but are they aimed properly. even after time when springs sag the lights need to be re aimed or else they will be aimed too low and give you crappy light output. also after you replace light housings you need to re aim your lights or you could end up with poor lighting. i know i learned this after i bought some aftermarket light housings. they were not too bad after i aimed them properly but pretty crappy before i aimed them. on the older vehicle the line on the wall is suppose to be about 2 inches lower on the wall than it is on the light housing at 25 feet away. i don't know about the 2nd gens but i would guess it is similar.

Whats different from LED to HID. I know like the physical difference but like hows the process of installing them different?

Those are the ones I wanted to go with but also wanted to save a little money while I was at it so got basically the same thing but off brand.

I went from stock, to SpecD halos, back to stock and in a week I'll have the new ones in. The SpecDs looked good (I like the look of halos tho too) but were almost impossible to aim and bulb changing was also a pain. Throw that in with crappy and confusing wiring and they are just a pain in the ass. Aiming wouldn't be too awfully bad if you cut out sheetmetal like in the sport light conversion but I didn't have the tools to do that (briansmobile on youtube gave me that idea). I cleaned up my stockers with 3M wet sand kit and they got a ton better but still not new looking. These new ones I ordered will be clearer, reflect better, and still aim like stock. I would have gone with new sport housings and harness but I just wanted plug and play and to save some money.

Not much different, but you don't necessarily need a projector since the beam pattern is tighter than HID. They also don't emit near as much heat as an HID. Solid state tech and instant on as well.

Just need resistors don't you?

Hell naw, these aren't 3gs with that lamp out ********!
With LEDs you get a driver box that plugs into the headlight socket.
Install the bulbs, zip a drill screw into the fender for the driver's plug them into the headlight socket, plug the bulb into the driver and boom. Done.

Yeah I know what you mean. I thought when I got the Spec D ones that they were just plug and play. Well I tried that and that wasnt the case. And every since then I have messed with them SO many times that I was tired of it and just wanted to go back to stock. There was just way too much wiring and trouble shooting with the Spec d ones that it wasnt worth the trouble or time and effort. These new ones I ordered that should be here tomorrow are suppose to be really good. Everyone likes the light output and the easyness of them to install.

Hmm, I never knew enough about LEDs for headlight bulbs to consider using them. Got a good place to get everything I'd need for an LED setup?
