    E85 Finally Cost Effective?

Just filled my ram 1500 with 16 gallons of e85. The other half is e88. Over 100 miles my mpg dropped from 22 hwy to 17. 87 was 4.59 e85 was 3.09. I am saving about 3 cents per mile running e85. I find the truck seems to have more power as it does not shift as much as it did running 87 in the...

    Real world difference between 3.21 & 3.55?

I would concur with this logic for the most part. I am surprised the 5.7 would 7/8 swap with extra torque it has. Mine jumps on slight grade but the jump is only 400 times and u can hardly notice it.

    Real world difference between 3.21 & 3.55?

It is a 4x4 Flame Red. This link has a thread with a few pictures of it. https://www.ramforum.com/threads/realistic-towing-within-the-guidelines.188698/post-2657504

    Real world difference between 3.21 & 3.55?

I just bought a 16/V6/CC/3.55/17" outdoorsman 5 days ago. I am still learning the truck from all aspects... A few things I have noticed: -Saturday night I drove into a 30mph wind. Truck held 8th gear on flat and would shift to 7th on inclines at 60-63 mph. I was surprised I expected 7th gear...

What is the sweet spot for rpm vs fuel economy vs acceleration? Guessing 2000 to 2500 rpm?

What sold me was a guy who lives in my subdivision had a 13 ram qc 3.6l 3.21 gears and pulled a 19 travel trailer 3-4 hours one way to Duluth on i-35. He said truck did 65-70 mph towing it. Weight is unknown but wind was a factor for sure. He recommended that I buy it.

A few shots from the dealer. My 6' tall son loves the legroom in the backseat. Put on about 175 miles today with it. 55 miles on intetstate at 75mph rest 60-65 mph. Some driving in town and through dairy queen idling I am averaging 19.3 mog. I love it!!

    realistic towing within the guidelines

So I am considering two trucks that fit into my budget. First truck is a 2016 outdoorsman 3.6l/CC/3.55/17". It is optioned up nicely with heated seats, large touchscreen dash with the electronic gauges, running boards, 10-way power seat, tonneau cover, 4wd auto, and mud flaps. The oil filter...

Anyone replace Oil Filter housing ?

I replaced the oil filter housing in my 2012 grand caravan last Thursday. I was quoted 3.5 hours and $1100 at a local shop. I have $150 in the housing and it took me 1.5 hours. I will be doing it on my 2015 T&C in the next year or so. I did not drain my coolant and wished I would have but the...

Well I went and looked at the ram 1500 with the exhaust manifold repair. The dealer did not perform the repair correctly. They replaced the 4 broken studs and replaced the gasket (they did not replace the manifold or bring the warped manifold to true flat). It still ticked upon start up. I...

    realistic towing within the guidelines

A couple of updates... I spent yesterday 4/23 looking at trucks. I drove 90 miles to the twin cities to look at a truck, was already to purchase however the dealer would not budge off of KBB value for my trade. This was half of what I was offered two days prior. Told me they would wholesale...
