mmm actually once the warping of the manifolds occure and you have the mounting surface planed flat again...thats it...no more warping...its called heat treating.
ok! got your numbers!
the ARH tubes stuck out 16in pastthe back of the cross memeber
i measured my mid pipe from the ARHs to the borla S-type catback and it was between 39-40in. sorry about the delay man!
crap dude i owe you a measurement, got my head to deep into the tear down and completely forgot. will get you the measurements tomorrow morning first thing. my apologies.
since u mentioned it i went straight there and started digging into other 5.7 to 6.4 swap posts lol. i think option C is the winner here. and it looks to come with some nice gains LOL. wonder if the MDS delete kit i have would work on the 6.4. definitely need to get on the horn with MMX on...
damn thats loud af. sorry you got this problem. it may be a lifter, it may be something more. sounds different from my lifter noise, may want to wait for some of the other guys to listen to that. any loss of power or check engine lights or codes thrown? rough idle?
pretty sure when people say a seized lifter they are talking about the roller being seized in place. IE no longer rolling. which causes it to grind across the lobe of the cam wearing it down.
interesting i had not considered this option. different fuel rails and injectors right? would the ARH lts i have still fit? the heads/block are fairly close in design if im not mistaken, im going to have to look and see if theres a 5.7 to 6.4 swap thread and check this out.
well i should probably start my own thread since i have blown up everyone elses lol. ive got a 2011 ram 1500 qc 5.7 4x4 with about 113k miles. A few months back i installed a vararam intake, moes 87mm ported throttlebody, 1 7/8 ARH LT headers and a borla S-type cat back, and a Trinity 2 tuner...
sorry i re-ready your post about how far the ARH tubing goes past..im mid tear down for a cam swap or possibly more depending on what i find. ill grab a measuring tape and give ya a good number here in an hr or so. as for mid pipe length like i said above i had to shave some off of mine to make...
I cut it a few inches past the crossmember, i reused my mid pipe, it had a few extra inches to spare that I had to shave off. My trucks the quad cab 4 door. If your mid pipe has some miles on it lol mine I had to grab a file and clean up the ends so they slid in pretty good.
interesting, most of the time the response ive been seeing from the more knowledgeable guys on here is, if its gone your blocks just waiting to go out. in my own case, i may be clinging to that idea so i can justify sending my block off to get stroked lolol...i got bit hard.
well my tick started around prob 60-70k miles...however i can attest the previous owner (family...) was dog **** with oil changes and when it did get done was at a jiffy lube or some other kmart bs service center...im at about 115k miles now and just had my first misfire pop up. trucks been...
