I don't know about now but 4 of my cars were used when I bought the service contracts. On 1 of the cars they replaced the engine, AC compressor, struts and a bunch of other stuff.
I worked for Mopar for 20 years and bought their service contracts whenever I needed one. I saw too many off brand contracts refuse to fix someone's car. They often came up with some reason "it's not covered" or "it's your fault it's broken". Mopar contracts usually have a higher deductible but...
You mentioned something that has me a bit confused. You said you wanted this for your " tow rig" but you said also that you installed a new "stall converter". If you meant "high" stall converter they are not generally used on "tow" vehicles. They use a "low" stall converter.
I have a 2017 Hemi with 8 speed. The fuel mileage that this truck gets is SO much better than any other truck I've owned I couldn't care less if something else gets better mileage. I guess it's a matter of perspective.
Thank you LouM! I worked for a company for a short time that did almost nothing but rebuild vehicles that had been totaled by insurance companies. All totaled means is that it would cost the insurance company more money to fix the vehicle than it is worth. My first car was totaled when it got...
You guys are really a pain in the butt. How is the truck not safe? All that was changed was sheet metal. The complete chassis and drive train remained intact. The brakes. steering and suspension remain as they came from the factory. Nothing added. Nothing taken away. The truck is now registered...
A friend and I bought a 2017 2500 that had rolled over for $6500. He put up $3500 for the engine and trans and I put up the other $3000 for the complete chassis. I talked him into taking my engine and trans since they only had 24000 miles and that way I didn't have to mess with swapping engines...
Again the criticism. If you bother to read the post you would see I have TIME and NO money. I am old enough that I will never sell the truck so it's value doesn't matter. What ever happens to it after I'm gone doesn't matter to me. The truck I need with lower miles is going to cost me at least...
I think asking for help was a waste of time. Most of you are quick to criticize but offer no actual help. There are obviously no hot rodders here who have built a car from scratch and had to get a new vin. You also have way more money to spend. I apologize for wasting your time.
What some of you don't seem to understand is I already have the truck and trailer. My truck has limited marketability so I can't afford to buy a comparable 2500-3500 truck. I don't want to buy something old with a lot of miles. The trailer has the layout that we need. We are retired and don't...
First please don't tell me to buy another truck. My present truck is a 2017 1500 2wd long bed standard cab 5.7 and 8 speed 3.21 and only 24000 miles. Being 2wd and standard cab it is not a popular model in N.E. and if I sold it I wouldn't get a very good price. I also have a 30 ft Cougar 5th...
You don't need a kit. You can either jump the contacts for the hood latch or for about $40 you can buy the latch with the switch. I bought the switch for my 2017 just so the engine wasn't accidently started with someone working under the hood. The harness was taped right next to the latch. You...
I used to work for MOPAR and it was a common practice to remove a throttle body, remove the sensors and use a Scotch Brite pad and carb cleaner to clean the throttle body.
