    Sounds like my old '98 Dakota R/T when the battery was about to go, it would crank and immediately shut off. The throttle body refusing to cooperate was the first sign. I could keep it running long enough to get home by keeping enough pressure on the pedal so it couldn't idle down and stall...

    Yeah, that filter is loco. I've had several rides in the past where the filter was a PIA to deal with. Back then, it was < $100 to add a dual remote filter pad that took full sized FL-1A filters complete with hoses and fittings. I'm too old for that now... :disgust: Russ

    It's even worse when you get off a full throttle run mid-way. The trans gets so confused it doesn't know whether to shift up, down, or hold. Kinda sounds like a ricer with a full-on engine... Russ

    Same here. Hardwired to the battery, 120v pigtail tied off in the grille. I drive into the garage and plug it up to an extension cord. But I also pop the hood and prop it with a 6" piece of 2x4, just as a visual reminder not to hop in and drive off w/o pulling the plug. Russ

    HEB does a really good job of vetting their food vendors, I'm sure that policy applies to gasoline as well. They're pretty much a "one and done", you mess up once and you're history.     Same here. My '18 RAM's battery "died" twice after not driving it for a couple weeks. Since permanently installing a LEICESTERCN brand tender with that same battery, it's been flawless. I also put one on my zero-turn after it suffered a sluggish start one time. Russ

    Back when I built RC models, they used to sell a product called micro balloons which was a white powder you'd mix with epoxy resin and use as light duty bondo. Supposedly tiny hollow spheres, they were too small to tell really, but a butter-sized tub might have weighed an ounce at best... Russ
