Don't be a hater, I get my stuff done on a budget. Lol

No hatin', you put some hard work in that truck:happy107:

PS: I got some headlights coming soon, gonna take the ones I got and re-clear them after wet sand. These things are the worst for clear peeling off and fogging up... you know...

Yeah mine are already pealing on top. I'm thinking about just going to get me a nice set the way I want them from JJ.

Yeah, I don't know what the hell they put on these things or even if it has some type of UV protection, they definitely don't last long in the TX heat. I have a feeling that the new ones will do the same so I'm gonna throw some Turtle Wax on it to help it out.

I'm considering trying to spray some clear coat over them to make them last a little longer. Mine are only peeling on top. I'm either going to put that color match vinyl on top or bedline the top. I think the bedliner to match would look badass.

I watched a video of a guy who sanded down and re-cleared his lights, they looked brand new. He had some orange peel at the end and he used some polishing compound and they were clear as glass. That video ave me hope in that I don't have to get a new set every year, but I find spending $700 for OEM when I'm tired of that style hard to do.

I might try the same thing. I'm just going to put several more layers than necessary of clear on them. Lol

Once the weather gets a little more consistent, I'm going to wet sand and reclear mine too. I thought about tinting the top "shelf" of the lights, as I like to call it. Make it look a little more aggressive.

Something like that. Going to photo edit it today or tomorrow to see what it might look like. If it's stupid I won't do the tint. Either way my lights need new clear.

My oil pressure sensor off the old motor isn't working so I wanted to put a mechanical gauge on it to double check everything. The mechanical one requires a hose into the back of it that oil flows through. I didn't want to put it in the cab in case of a leak so I put it on the outside. I also wanted to be able to see it quickly without having to pop the hood so I put it behind the grille. Came out alright. The motor has good oil pressure by the way.

Yeah we have some but I don't think the shipping to Georgia on them would be worth it.

I went out today to get the crossmember off the old truck that I need for the driveshaft and I was curious how much diesel was in the old tank. I dropped the tank and there was just over 15 gallons still in there, the trucks gauge said empty. All that fuel is now in my truck and I'm about 3/4 full for when I finally drive it. :happy107:

You treated it too right? I'd hate to see you start it and it's bad fuel

No I had put fuel in it when I first got it. I thought it had already used it up because the gauge was saying empty. Guess it didnt. I'm going to put some injector cleaner in it but as far as it being bad diesels aren't as picky as gas motors about that because they don't have spark plugs. They operate differently.
