First let me introduce myself. I'm Larry from Niagara Falls, NY. I have been working on trucks since my father and I rebuilt a 68 Chevy C-20 back in 86. I have a 03 Ram that my daughter drives, some jeeps and my new 18 PW.

Has anyone lowered the seats to gain more head room? I fit with about 1 inch to spare. I can't wear a hat while driving. In my 04 TJ I used the relocation brackets to move the seat back 4 inches. Worked ok.

I wonder if anyone has cut down the seat brackets.

Ive never really looked under the seat at the brackets before. I would have to think that as long as there is room to lower it down, it would have to work somehow. Dumb question, but you do have the seat lowered all the way already, correct?

Nice looking truck!!!

I have noticed the passenger and rear seats all sit significantly higher than the driver. Thankfully the driver seat will lower down whereas the passenger will not due to jack stowage. such a PITA for when I get tired of driving or my wife wants to wheel offroad.

Definitely have the seat all the way down. I even have it tilted. My 02 dodge's ceiling is flat. The 18 PW contoured. Not sure why they did that. Hoping the seat breaks in a little.

I'm 6'5" In stead of lowering the seat I starting looking at altering the foam of the ceiling.

Why would anyone wear a hat while driving?

Why wouldn't you where a hat? do you take off a ball cap when you get into your truck?

The 2018 Ram 2500 headroom is 41" and legroom is 41".

I'm 6' 1", shorter than all of the six other males in my family with the tallest (was) at 6' 5". I sit a bit too tall in the Power Wagon though due to having my height in the upper body, not in the legs. Only issues are that the normal steering wheel position on my 2016 entirely blocks the view of the dashboard "bright headlights on" light and some speeds of the dial speedometer.

Some other pickup brands have more headroom...

You guys over 6'2" with enough head room, do you have a sun roof or not? I can't seem to make it work with one and I'm having trouble finding one I like without it.

Thx

I'm 6'3" and I sat in several trucks and trim levels with and without sunroof, in the end had to go the "no sunroof" route in order to be comfortable, especially off-road.

I'm 6'7 and have no issues with head room in any of the RAMs I've own. I've got a 2018 PW, no sunroof.

Height and the comfort is also going to based on torso length, arm length and legs. So many variables. 6’4 is 6’4 but one can have shorter legs and longer torso making it change quite a bit. Or some of y’all are 6’4 but got trex arms lolololol

I have the sunroof on my '17, and sometimes wish I didn't. There isn't much headroom with it, and I'm 6'2. Pretty sure the non-sunroof trucks have a different headliner, and thus have a lot more room.

Well, some people have long legs, some have long torsos, some are a combination of both. While overall height has quite a bit to do with it, if you are all legs then you most likely will not have an issue with headroom.

Im 5’8” with a 30” inseam. I drive with the seat raised a bit and could still probably wear Abraham Lincolns hat without issue.

To the OP: you try lowering your seat yet?
