DIY: 2013+ RA3/RA4 8.4" Radio Conversion Upgrade
(There's also an instruction sheet you can download in post 2)
Basically the 24pin connector doesn't plug into the back of the bezel, only the 8 pin.
A separate HVAC module (must be purchased) plugs into the 24pin connector.
So on the 7 speed conversion harness' 3 connectors ...
24 pin (P1) to existing truck connector
24 pin (P2) to new HVAC module
8 pin (P3) to new bezel

im planning on doing the same upgrade but i already have 7 speed fan, do i still need hvac module?

I don't think he is making harnesses anymore. Lots of people in the radio upgrade stiicky thread have said they can't get in touch with him. There are directions to build your own which are very detailed.

I recently upgraded my 2015 Ram 1500 with a 7 speed fan from the 5.0 to the 8.4 with the new HVAC module and wiring harness. The problem I am having is the fan shuts off when put on speed 7 and the A/C does not work (does not blow cold air). Everything works with the old bezel so it must be an issue with the wiring harness or HVAC module. Has anyone run into this issue?
