Can I get that root for mine please? I tried one while back but it never would install .

After filling out the link to return my PX6, Phoenix sent and file to update mine. I installed the update tonight.... I'll see if it fixed the boot up issues before I return it.

Yep that's Phoenix. As soon as you start the return process they will drop everything to help you. Lol

Definitely appears that way! Ticket was open for 2 weeks....filled out the return form and got an update within an hour.

Here you go, this is ONLY for Android 7.1.1 fastboot radios...

File must be named px3.img to save your settings. If you leave it as px3_reset.img it will perform a clean install and wipe everything. If you go this route be sure to copy the customer.xml file from system/apps to a safe place before proceeding.

It seems I only have two themes, I asked Phoenix about this and it seems they are too busy to answer me. I am guessing there is a newer firmware? My unit has been so well behaved I think I would be afraid to update.

It may actually be older. If you post an image of your system info screen, I can let you know.

The newest firmware they sent me only had two themes as well , both in Chinese . The older firmwares had a lot of them .

I've never updated mine in a year-and-a-half and you're right, I have like six themes to choose from... But stuck without fastboot. Im ok with that tho

So if I try just booting px3.img I just get a error message each time , tried both USB ports , if I change to px3_force.img I can’t get it to ever prompt for install , and if I reboot it never attempts either .

Sorry about that, reset is the command for 7.1, force is 4.4 and I have no idea if they switched it to something else for the PX6.

So I was excited the fix could be so easy..........but no luck. I switched it to metric and it didn't work. I switched it to metric did a save and reboot then switched it back to american with a save and reboot. I started thinking what does american vs metric have to do with the steering volume controls. But then a lot of things on this unit make no sense. Thanks for the reply though. If you remember I have a very different "console" menu.
