What makes these underground leds work in projectors over others? I just ordered ddm hids for my projectors, didnt see this thread. Im guessing hids are still better in stock projectors?

The main Key of them working is led placement. Plus the led chip style and brightness. But IF the led is not placed in the right spot in a projector. The light output will not reach the road.

What I didn't notice in the package was a little bitty allan wrench that is used to adjust the LED head so it would be completely vertical (LEDs horizontal), but they are really close. No nighttime pictures yet, but here are the differences from the old. The old low beams are the Silverstar Ultra. High beams are OEM, fogs are zXe. Updated fogs and lows with LED from Underground.

A set of these for quad high beam, low beam, AND fogs seem to be a pretty hearty investment. They look great though. Any bundle deals??

I can’t point to a link at the moment, but when I’ve looked into this in the past, it wasn’t recommended to swap in LEDs without having a housing designed for it. What makes these different?
The 60W led has the leds placed in the right spot to make the light output focus in front of you where you need it. Instead of throwing it everywhere and blinding on coming traffic as much. You can see that on page 1.

Got it. I saw the pictures and they definitely look great. Just wasn’t sure if it was just the led position or if there was something else going on. I saw it was a 2 year warranty. What’s the typical life expectancy? Indefinite bc they’re LED?

We designed these to last 3-5 years. We would like to say more, But until we have a lot of them on the road for 5 years we won't say that. We don't want to lie.
