Hi guys! So I just purchased my first NEW vehicle ever, a 2019 RAM Classic WARLOCK in stunning Delmonico Red. I am quite displeased with the "premium" projector lights they have in there, and after doing lots of research I've settled on these:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07RSW1FV6/ref=psdc_318323011_t1_B07TNCSNHQ?th=1

(I was interested in the NOVA series with those cool ice-cube LEDs, but they don't have the dual DRL's or the sequential turn signals! and they aren't blacked out!)

Paired with the EYES OF MEGATRON HIMSELF:
https://www.amazon.com/HIKARI-Ultra...78TQ6BAHT4D&psc=1&refRID=EP75EW9TA78TQ6BAHT4D

So onto my main question: my factory projector lights have a single big connector. I noticed as per this wiring diagram that one of the connectors is label DRL LAMP DRIVER. If I splice the red DRL wire from the new headlights into the adapter harness that they send, and enable the dedicated DRLs option through alphaOBD, would they work as intended? I just don't like the idea of fuse tapping a brand new truck...

P.S. anyone have any good discount codes??

Can you post a pic of the connector they sent. But without seeing it you should be able to tap into it. I believe that since your truck came with factory projectors it's already programmed as dedicated

I don’t have an answer to your question on the wiring, but if you purchase your lights directly from Alpharex they offer a military/first responder discount of 10%. I purchased mine last month and I got them delivered for $409.50 for the exact same lights you are interested in.

I haven't pulled the trigger yet, but here is what the harness looks like. I'm just wondering if activating the DRL options in alfaOBD would actually put voltage through the wiring on my connector, enough to activate the DRL's on the headlights properly

And here is where I'm getting my wiring diagram:

Since your truck came with factory projectors the dedicated drl feed is already enabled. That feed used the park/turn lights but has its own feed to them. Comparing the pics of the harness included they haven't added the dedicated drl feed to the harness yet. That's something you'd have to add to each harness. I'm not sure if anyone has found just the pins for the oem projector connector yet. You can buy the complete connector and pins off of Amazon.

Then all you would have to do is take the wires from the drl harness that comes with the lights and use that to add the feed into their harness

Yes. I have my Modifystreet headlights wired like this, but being my truck originally has the Quad headlights I had to add the dedicated DRL circuits. I have the 1st version of the Modifystreet headlights so only the brow light is the DRL.
I enabled the Dedicated DRLs with AlfaOBD and have them set to drop out with turn signals. I also have to option to turn the DRLs On/Off through the 8.4 radio. I followed the directions found on the first post of the AlfaOBD thread.
As for operation the DRLs come on when I remote start the truck, turn on the running lights and when in gear provided the parking brake is not set.

Awesome! That's exactly what I wanted to hear.

p.s. - I'll post pics of the 'lock after I get it all finished to my liking :)

Same as crash68 I installed the dedicated drl feed on my truck and connected it to the drl feed on my custom set of gen 1 alpharex/modifystreet headlights

Quick question, did you all change the DRL target voltage to 12v or leave it at the factory 7.4v? The DRL wiring kit that came with the headlights does has some circuitry inside, so I don't know if the LEDs are actually rated for 12v...

I believe, not exactly sure on the g2 but on the g1 when the drl's were on they are brighter than when the parking lights are on. Or maybe reversed. I remember seeing a video on YouTube where they changed brightness. So they probably are rated for or close to 12vs

If the supplied DRL wiring kit is used, then the LEDs are getting voltage straight from the battery. The “circuitry” you see on the wiring kit is a simple relay, so it uses a fuse that is only hot when the ignition is on to trigger the DRLs to receive 12v straight from the battery.

Alright, so I got my headlights installed. They work absolutely perfectly! The DRLs come on in drive with auto headlights, and the switchback turn signals work as they should. I set it so the "brow" light stays on with the turn signals.
Now...on to the problem. It's giving me a lamp out error for both left and right turn signals! This doesn't make sense as my original lights where LED, and I confirmed in alfaobd they were set to LED.
The signals themselves don't hyperflash, but the clicking on my dash does. How the heck do I fix this??

Welp, while tinkering with alfaobd, I found another issue...I get radio interference with lows and highs on (a little with lows, and more when highs kick on). Am I going to have to buy some decoders to fix that?

What are you using for low/high beam bulbs

It also really seems to depend on the station...some stations i can barely hear the static while others that have a weaker signal get completely cut off...

Hmmm. I only listen to Siriusxm so I have never had a issue with static. I'm guessing some sort of resistor or decoder would work

How did you get the brow lights to stay on with the turn signals? Mine shut off.
