I have a 2010 ram 1500 with the alpine system. The sound keeps shutting off on my sound system. It seems to happen more often when its hot. The radio has power, but the sound will just cut out after a few seconds of play or not come on at all. My vin is 1d7rv1gt9as186566 with 76,000 miles. The fuses are good and iv tried disconnecting my battery to "reset" the system. I've also had it in to the dealership, but they couldnt help. Any ideas?

My best guess would be a bad speaker showing strange resistance to the head unit. If it's not too difficult, disconnect speakers one by one.

Sounds stupid but it's all I got aside from your head unit or amp (if there is one) being toast.

What was the diagnosis per your visit to your local certified FCA dealer? Thanks! – Kevin T, Social Connect Team

I agree with one speaker probably messing it all up.

There was no diagnosis kevin, since they couldn't duplicate it, they weren't going to mess with it.

Did you ever figure this out? I have a 2013 RAM and the audio just stopped. I rest it once and it worked for a week but then it died again. I live in NE and I've been using the defrosters and heat a lot. I wonder if it is heat related. I've tried everything, pushing the buttons to gether, disconnecting the battery, pulling and reinserting the fuse. From all the hits when I google this, it sounds like there should be a recall.
