After 10 years with my Titan, and a lot of research, I decided to make the switch and picked up a 2020 1500 Bighorn. Had it for a whole 2 days and put 80 miles on it before I brought it in to the service dept for some transmission abnormalities. Spoke with them earlier, and after 4 days of troubleshooting they are going to put a new transmission in it. I know things happen, but hopefully this isn't a sign of things to come, because I really like the truck.

Hi @MayhemMOORE - I am very sorry to hear that you had to experience this already, however, I am glad to know your dealer is taking care of you. If you are in need of any additional support while working with them, please do not hesitate to follow up with us via PM.

Welcome to the Ramily.
Sounds like a good dealer to swap it out so quick. Like you said, "things happen" and Im sure you will have many years in the Ram

Hang in there brother.

I bought a brand new 2019 Bighorn last October. I’m at 5000 miles currently.

At 1500 miles the master cylinder went out after a heavy braking attempt... replaced under warranty and no more issues.

At 2500 miles the transmission got stuck in 3rd and dropped a code.. they replaced a couple of parts under warranty and it’s been flawless ever since.

A lot of these new trucks have some bugs early on, they get fixed and become a distant memory. I absolutely love my truck despite those issues.

Congrats on your new truck. Let us know how it progresses.

Thanks for all the welcomes. Spoke with the dealer earlier and Ram has gone back on replacing the transmission and is having them do more troubleshooting on it still. So the wait continues. At least I got to enjoy it for 2 days after bringing it home. Now I’ll just have a bunch of parts waiting to go on whenever I get it back.

Welcome, I am also from KS, graduated from Pittsburg State University, I am in the AF and stationed at Whiteman AFB, missing KS. I wouldn't think to much of the trans issues you had, It was probably minor, the dealerships are not allowed to change parts in them because they aren't made by Dodge and they are somewhat secret, Rams are great trucks and I'm sure you will enjoy it.
