I have a 2016 3500 ram, I’m wanting to have installed ARB air lockers in both front and rear. Has anybody done this or know of any problems I could have. I run this same set-up on my jeep.

No experience with it but I don’t see why you would have any issues. The only issues that I’ve heard are on IFS from the front diff being a weak point. Your 3500 has a solid axle and would not suffer from that.

With ARB Air Lockers, you have the benefits of an open differential. This Air Locker System is a locking differential system that utilizes a dash mounted electric switch that is used to activate a vacuum diaphragm that engages the locker. The air locker uses a small charge of air that comes from on board air compressor that further activates the locker. When activated, both axle shafts are locked together providing 100% equal traction to both wheels of that axle

ARB is the gold standard of lockers, there’s nothing stronger. Most troubles arise from improper installation, as there are some finicky bits drilling the housing and routing airlines, both on the chassis and inside the differential housing. Certainly a good choice for the HD trucks.

As an aside, someone’s fed you some slightly incorrect information, as there’s no vacuum involved with ARB operation. It’s straight up air pressure operated via electric switches and solenoid valves.

It does end up pricey due to needing onboard air, as I’m sure you know having them before; I just mention this for other readers. Most serious off roaders want onboard air anyway.
