When i still had my 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 5.7L
I tried to change oil every 5,000 miles, using Mobile One

There were some months that i would change oil twice in the same month, which would be a lot for the average driver.
I have a business where a trucking outfit may call me at 8AM & ask if i am available to e s c o r t a semi truck to any given point in the continental USA. an hour later i may be heading to West Virginia & 4 or 5 days later, i would return to San Diego.
On occasion the following day, i could follow another truck to Utah, or Oregon or where ever.
Then there may be a week where i did not have a call to do a job.

I sold that HEMI when it had 144,000 miles & here it is 5 years later & the new owner drives by every now & then & he is still smiling :)

Isn't the Power Wagon only available with the 6.4 Hemi? That's what kept me from ordering one a couple years ago.

DO NOT KNOW, ref PW. The 2500 and 3500's come with Cummins, usually the 6.7.

ONLY see (1) PW available in area, pretty truck, with the 6.4L. Not cheap either.

Pretty sure Mike is correct, unless they've just recently changed that.

I believe the argument for not having the diesel as an option was the extra front end weight on a truck that is geared more towards off roading. Likewise, with more flexible suspension (admittedly do not know the specifics here) the payload and towing numbers decrease, making the diesel even less desirable for this setup as towing/hauling numbers wouldn't be ideal for a 2500.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong because I'm just going off of the banter I've witnessed on forums over the years on the subject. Also, I've seen plenty of people in those threads that still wanted the diesel in the power wagon for their own reasons.

You would have to do something like they do with those special Corvettes

When Corvette sends a Corvette over to Lingenfelter, is the engine bay empty

Lingenfelter is just a Carriage Works

Like ordering a Cadillac Pickup Truck from Doms Garage Miami

I would not be surprised if there was a carriage works that will put diesels in Power Wagons
