Looks like someone needs to update their truck details.

I meant to say 32 gallon tank.

But, I think my reply goes regardless of generation. This is my second Ram, I had a 3rd Gen and my 4th gen. Both of my rams had the larger tank (34 gallon and now 32 gallon), I want the largest tank available, lowest gears available, and the most tech I can afford.

I don't know what you can order now, but when I ordered my 2021 Ram crew cab Big Horn EcoDiesel in November 2020 with a 33 gallon diesel tank I had to order a crew cab truck and not the smaller quad cab. If I went with a gas engine, I could have gotten the 33 gallon tank in the quad cab. Apparently there is not enough space for DEF in the quad cab 1500 truck. At least that was the story back then. I know this because the dealer had to reorder my truck, changing the quad cab to crew cab, to get the ED engine and the 33 gallon tank.
Good to know. I always seem to forget about QC's. Those are almost non-existent where I live.

I totally agree with this sentiment. :drunk:

The ecodiesel has the same fuel tank options as trucks with the Hemi or Pentastar engines. Those options are 23, 26, and 33 gallons. But availability is somewhat limited by model or option choices. For example, the 23 gallon tank is not available on a Limited.

Edit: I just realized you have a 4th gen. This is a 5th gen forum so I always seem to assume that's what people are asking about. Fuel tank choices on 4th gen 1500's were either 26 or 32 gallons.
My 4th has a 26 gallon

Interesting. (I had just posted the big tank should be standard equipment). I wonder if it is just on the Limited
No, the standard tank on a 5th gen 1500 Limited is 26 gallons. My limited was upgraded to have a 33 gallon tank. 32 gallon tanks are not an option on 5th gen 1500's. That screen capture is in error.

That was from the RAMs website. I don't know if they upgraded the tank on new orders or what the deal is. I guess we will have to see when someone orders one. Manufacturers make changes all the time so you never know.

My window sticker has appeared on the Chrysler link, ram cares said it has shipped, dealer says it’s awaiting shipping. Equipment list says 33 gallon tank, window sticker makes no mention. It is not on optional list. I’ll find out when I fuel it I guess.

I have a '22 Rebel that is not calibrated for the 33 tank and the dealer is acting like I am wrong. Anyone have some suggestions?

I used AlphaOBD and calibrated the BCM. Now every 1/4 tank mark represents 8 gallons and when in shows E it means it. Prior to calibrating it, it would claim empty but would only take 26-28 gallons at the most. Now it will take 32, although I do not run it that low but I like the accuracy of knowing at half tank I got 16 gallons of travel distance.

I signed up for a TSD Logics Inc / TSD Open Roads trucker discount card. I don't have an participating stations in my area and I haven't gotten to travel enough to know if it is worth it. I have found that some stations charge more at the trucker line than they do at the consumer pumps for diesel. Perhaps it is to offset any corporate discounts given.
We noticed the same thing as we drove across the country over the last 3 months. Its gotten to the point that I never use them unless I have to refill the DEF.

I'm super curious about this. I just took delivery of my new ED with 33 gallon tank and the Miles to empty was only low 500 if I remember it correctly. Although I am still on the original tank of gas. Maybe it is still in a learning mode?

Should slowly improve as it breaks in. Someone said they noticed it max'd out when they got to about 8k. Not there yet on mine so hoping it keeps climbing... Especially now with the $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ of Diesel. Caused by we all know who! Go ahead -- delete me...

At 37,000 miles, after a fill up, mine tells me I've got about 800 miles till empty when not towing. It takes about 40 to 50 miles to correct itself down to about 400 when towing the travel trailer and 600 when towing the much more aerodynamic boat. And it varies due to wind and terrain. It can vary aLOT! And its pretty accurate.
