My father-in-law gave me his truck that he purchased new. It’s got Michigan rust in all the right places, but never been in an accident and maintained well, to include a pristine interior. I’ve always loved the truck, so I’m looking at fixing it up and customizing it in the Power Wagon specs and then some.

First on my list of projects is upgrading the axels; steering; and full suspension.

Any ideas or great sites to pick up the parts I need would be greatly appreciated.

Father in laws rock don't they, As do Wagons. Although mine gave me a Tundra I'm gonna have to go ask him wtf. Lol

Do You have any further details about your planned upgrades?

I've enjoyed building my wagon out more then most any other personal project. I dig completing a truck mod then taking it out to determine how well it went.

I did an internet search six years ago looking for info on a "performance chip" for a '16 wagon. I found the forum and $35k later my wife's hoping these guys/gals run out of ideas soon. "Almost done, Babes", I tell her. Lol she handles that way better than, " bout halfway, Lady".

That’s hilarious. They sure do.

Right now I’m just dealing with the major things, brake line, engine, trans and such, but I’m looking to replace the whole body except the cab and doors. Too much rust everywhere. So, I’m working on finding the best alternative price wise but only with sound parts and doing it the right way.

I’d like to add some updates from the next gen, if possible, including steering wheel and hood. I like the current light patters, just smoked led options.

As far as the body panels go I just want to know if I can expand my search to the next gen on at least the bed and side rear fenders. That’s my big question at this juncture.

As far as the design goes overall, I’m looking to make it a homage to the originals and the U.S. Army. I’m disabled, so it will take me a bit to do it all and involve getting help from some buddies and probably my father-in-law too. He’s in his mid-70’s but in good health and great shape. He was Air Force, hence the good health still. Haha

Flat Olive Drab or Flat Black on black. New custom leather covers, instead of the cloth seats. Winch, no tow package, 5th wheel, and some more electronic upgrades revolving around towing a large 5th wheel.
