Auto start, heated seats/steering wheel on under 40f, can this be changed?

I have two issues with the programming...
1. My wife can't believe the heated passenger seat doesn't come on automatically - the truck "knows" there's a passenger because of the airbag sensor (I joke that the "airbag is in the passenger seat" lol)
2. Under 40 the heated seats come on "high" setting... Yet, over 80 the cooled seat comes on "low"... WHY!!!

Would be nice to set the temp thresholds for both, AND set whether it's high or low. Or just make the cooled seats come on high.
And she does have a point on the passenger seat... you know there's a passenger and you're turning on the driver's seat only

The thread started asking how to set it to more than 40, and you are saying you have your truck set to have heated stuff on at 60??? How do?
No, that is referring to the remote auto setting on temperature to run heat on till I get to truck and turn off remote start, to run. It is not gonna get over 48 today here, and to take advantage of like remote start heating, I need to set my temp at like 72. U cannot alter the 40 degree setting for it to come on automatically as far as I know. Further, ever since I had the TSB done for the AC, the remote start system is Funky and only works when it wants to. Dealer unable to fix and/or change, just something I have to put up with.

ADDED: U can turn on anything manually at any temp when U R in truck, but to be honest, I rarely turn on heated steering wheel and/or seats, except for auto setting. I have my steering wheel wrapped in leather and it does not Normally get that cold here. But for here, anything under 30 degrees F is pretty dang cold, considering summers 100-110.

Have a MY 19 DT 5th Gen, but a lowly Bighorn, but same thing even on a Gen 5 (minus the cooled seats, no got, lol). Sometimes, Common Sense in programming stuff for Creature Comforts does not Exist. Maybe in a super like Limited Trim with the 12" U Connect, or the New U Connect 5, they change, but somebody with a high end truck like that would have to chime in, since I only have my lil low end Bighorn.

I have the 2018 Ram BigHorn package. My driver side seat heater will only stay on for maybe 2 seconds when I operate it manually unless it is really cold outside (I assume under 40f). Auto start behavior may be somewhat different but by the time I get into the truck it is already off. Good news is the passenger side seems to work on manual whenever - which is good cause of the wife. Driver side though just does not seem to work very well. If I turn the feature off in the settings, does it allow me to work it manually whenever I want to? Or does that only control whether the heater comes on during the remote start?

I have a loaded 2022 TRX and it has the same issue. I just found out about it and it irritates me almost enough to trade it. Didn’t realize it until I drove my wife’s new to us 2021 GMC that auto sets the temp upon auto start and I wondered why mine didn’t. I can take steaming hot weather all day, but I can’t stand being cold. It was one of the things I hated about my diesel super duty truck. It took forever to heat up. If I’d known this before hand I probably wouldn’t have bought the truck.

Seems like it’d be a simple fix. Not sure what the deal is with Stellantis on this one.

I have a 2022 Hyundai Palisade that is probably best of class when it comes to this. If you use the App to start the car, there are four options. One for summer, one for winter, and two you can customize.
Its pretty slick, and works well. FWIW - ten minutes is max duration.

Nice! There is just no excuse for Mopar and others to not have this same ability.

A final rant on this, it finally got cold enough to remote start my truck this morning. Go out there and sitting on a block of ice I was ready to flame FCA thinking they did away with auto starting the seat and wheel heaters to try to make me pay $10/mo uConnect and turn them on remotely. My ‘17 did that automatically. The option is in the settings menu and heaven will never know why auto heat and wheel is set to off by default. Why isn’t auto the factory default? At least I figured out they aren’t trying to scam me. On this issue at least. Tomorrow I should have warm seats and wheel at least.

Unless Murphy's law goes into effect, then your truck won't start at all.
