I thought this would be the place to vent a little, but I guess not! Thanks to those who offered advice, but there isn't another Ram dealer in my city. To those who wanted to be smarta**, you can just shove your attitude!!!
So, go to another city.

When I was shopping for vehicles, I went all over the place, and there are 2 Ram dealers here, and a couple more within an hours drive.

I wasn't looking for a Ram at first, was going to get a car. Figured out I wanted a truck fairly early on.

I looked for a week, then Hurricane Irma happened, and after a week or so, I looked all over for almost 2 weeks, plus online, sonetimes drove 2 and 3 hours away, then found my truck at a Honda dealership on a Saturday, 1-1/2 hours away. Put $100 on it til I could come back the next day with the FIL.

The next day was an all-day affair, very stressful.

I loathe vehicle shopping. I was honest and up front too, and still got the run-around.

OP, if you don't like a dealer, go to another one. If you hate the Ram, dump it and RUN. Don't look back.

If you want help and advice on taking care of the Ram, THIS IS THE BEST PLACE to be.

But, if you come to p!ss and moan, you will be met with scorn, as you've seen.

Good luck

I think I'm done with Ram. I have a Ram 2500 diesel and really like the vehicle, the problem is my local dealer is a piece of work! I will never go to them again and this is the reason for my changing vehicles. I think it is about time I upgraded trucks. I've been wanting a 3500 and I'm looking at a Chevy with the duramax engine. I actually went to the dealer to look at a Ram 3500 while my 2500 was supposed to be in the shop, but the service writer got very smart with me and I just walked out.
I think I'm done with dogs. I have a Black Lab, Diesel, and really like the dog, the problem is my local veterinarian is a piece of work! I will never go to them again and this is the reason for my changing pets. I think it is about time I upgraded pets. I've been wanting a cat and am looking at an orange one with the long hair. I actually went to the vet to look at a Great Dane while my Black Lab was supposed to be in the appointment room, but the Vet Tech got very smart with me and I just walked out.

I have a couple of things to say about Ghornet54 post
1) if you don't speak and speak nicely not with ADITUIDE with service manager and get no were then dealer manager then owner then if no change speak with Ram Cares then find another dealer there is lot around I find it hard that there is no others close by with in a hours drive ! And ASK OTHER people about other dealers and experiences they have had at there dealer they are using!
2) It will be a very expensive way to find out that another brands dealer and service is no better like 10's of thousands of dollars the average a truck cost $70 plus thousand dollars to buy ! the sales is always better than service dept so if Ghoent54 has more money than brains let him go ! all I can say is I would rather try TALKING NICELY first and try finding another dealer first ! he must have more money than brains ! My opinion !

No it isn't.

Ford stopped putting Navistar engines in their trucks at the end of 2010. In 2011, Ford switched to the 6.7. The 6.7 Powerstroke is Ford's design.

Navistar/International made 3 engines for Ford.
(1994-early 2003) - 7.3 Powerstroke (International T444E)
(late 2003-2007) - 6.0 Powerstroke (Navistar VT365)
(2008-2010) - 6.4 Powerstroke (Navistar Maxxforce 7)
2011 - current) - 6.7 Powerstroke (Ford Scorpion engine)

That said, after owning a variation of all 3 manufacturers, the Ram is far superior in terms of interior finish and comfort and the Cummins is a much more reliable and robust engine.

OP - go to Ford if you want but take it from me (a prior 20 year long Ford fan).... they will help you until you buy a truck. Good luck after that. Can't say much differently for GM.

My local FCA dealer is a joke. I will drive 100 miles out of my way to avoid them.... however, my Rams have spent 1/10th of the time at the dealer as the Ford and GM equivalents. YMMV.
You got off to a good start, but you forgot the 6.9 IDI, 7.3 IDI, and 7.3 IDI Turbo Navijunk engines that predated the Powerjoke.

Rookie numbers, roflmao, better 45 miles than 3 states, roflmao, but Perception is in the Eye of the Beholder. As long as U got what U wanted and needed, all fair in Luv and RAM trucks, lmao.

Yea I know. :)

I didn't feel like trying to dig back into my brain for them. The 7.3 IDI wasn't a horrific engine, it just lacked any sort of power. They'd run forever though.

Powerstrokes were good engines until the 6.0 debacle began. I was the outside rep for an Intl dealer when the 6.0/VT365s started popping head gaskets in all of the school buses across Northeast AL/Lower TN. Talk about a rough few years of work. I put close to 20k miles on my work truck that first year trying to get to shops to see the latest round of carnage.

When the 6.4/Maxxforce 7 Powerstroke started failing and then my personal truck did the same thing (twice), I got fed up with them and left International. Wasn't worth the headache.
