I have some 35x12.5 in my garage and my TIS 544BM 22x12 -45 are ready to be picked up at FedEx

I was pretty set on doing a 6" lift. I'm starting to have some doubts. It would be merely cosmetic reasons for doing so as the truck is never driven off-road. I've just getting accustom to the better mileage and maneuverability of the vehicle

Wondering what would be a good option to get that size tire/rim on my 1500 at a decent price until I decide if I'm going to do the bigger lift

That -45 offset and the 12" wide wheel are going to be what hurts you. You can fit 35x12.50s all day long on stock wheels but you'll probably run into clearance issues with the back of the fender and the back of the front bumper with those wheels. You'll have to at the very least put on some Bilsteins and set them at the highest setting. Even then, you may have to trim some

Specs in my signature, I get a light bit of rubbing when turning to the right.

I DO think that the actual tire makes a difference. First of all, not all 35x12.50s have the same height/width. And then there is the profile of the tire.

^He's 100% right, every tire is slightly different. In past experiences, me and buddies of mine have found BFG A/Ts tend to run small, Nittos seem to run big, etc. And also sidewall design, I had some Nitto Trail Grapplers on a truck that just rubbed on the side biters at full lock. With A/Ts, nothing rubbed.

33's will fit into our stock wheel wells with no rubbing, but a front level (Bilstein 5100 front adjustable set to 2.1" raised) will give a good stance and better clearance (I run LT285/65R20's BFG KO2's).

My 19' is set up as above (but also has the 5100 rear shocks - all on stock springs):

My understanding is that for 35's to fit properly in our trucks a 2" 'lift' is needed for clearance.

Appreciate the responses. My plans changed days after making the post and haven't checked in

I'm ordering some Bilstein's today for the front. I noticed some sites don't have the "Sport" model to select. Are the rebel and sport considered the same for most mechanical parts?

I came up with 5100 B8 24-300872 from numerous sites for a 2019 Ram 1500 4WD noAir but Amazon is telling me it doesn't fit a Sport but does the Rebel

Your pic shows a 4th Gen. I ran 35s on my 4th Gen with the 4C Air Suspension and a link swap (effectively a 2" lift) and no problems. Then I sold it to my son who swapped back to stock position (so it would fit in his garage) and no problems there either.

As stated above, I have a 5" lift on my 5th Gen (this is a 5th Gen forum...) and still get a slight amount of rubbing when about 1/3 to 1/5 turned to the Right.

Don't buy from Amazon, especially critical components like suspension, is my advice.
A lot of knockoffs on Amazon.

I don't think you're in Canuck land, but this is where I got my front and rear 5100's from, and their service and pricing were incredible. https://bilsteincanada.com/

Perhaps source a local Bilstein approved retailer so you know you're getting the real deal, and getting a solid backed warranty, too.

Funny this came back my way as I was recently thinking about this.

The understanding about the 35's not fitting a non-lifted truck were in fact incorrect.
I know this because I am now running LT295/65R20 Michelin Defender LTX M/S tires and according to their chart specs it's a 35.1" tire.

I only have the 5100's on my truck with stock springs and the front set to 2.1" raised. I have absolutely zero rubbing issues going forward or reverse from full turn, stop-to-stop.

I do like the increase in height I got from this size tire. It makes going over obstacles in my way much easier. As my daughter says 'Dad, let's do truck things and park over there so no one dings our big blue truck'.... I'm a very proud Dad :)

She also demands that Dad does frequent vrooms, and likes when we do burnouts, too ;)

Started the 5100 install. I've done them before on my 2015 and I don't recall having any issues

I spent over 2 hours getting to the point where I'm about to take the strut out. Completely unbolted. Yeah, I was pretty pokey and my garage was a disaster from moving stuff while painting the walls so I had to search for every single tool

As I m doing this I skim across a post about needing a pass-thru socket - I don't have one of those - never had one in 2015 either

Waiting on Amazon now. Didn't know some of the nuts were one-time use either although I did put them back on temporarily. I'm astonished at the pricing for a few nuts

Is it recommend just to grab some high grade nuts/washers from a local bolt/nut store?

With a 12 wide at that offset you’ll need a minimum of a 6” lift. It’s not worth hacking up your wheel wells just to go bigger later
