So, a little update:

Stopped by the dealer today to test fit my Carhart seat covers on a model that is pretty much the same as mine. I got a text alert that my truck was in production on 12/22/23. My salesman told me that they show the truck in the body area which is where they spray in the bedliner, put the side steps on, etc. My text says that the arrival date is 3/16/24 at this time. We shall see!

Unless something has changed I dont think you can change the thermostat out for a lower temp either. It is built into the housing on the 6.4. The 215 degree is all you can do unless you can modify it to work for a lower temp one. Also not sure if the shutters are a thing on the HD's. I know my 2016 does not have them but maybe Im wrong about the newer models. These 6.4's are a bit different than the 5.7's

If you're "short" (kids are 6' & 6'4", wife is 5'11, and I'm 5'10) like me.... the rear step was a huge improvement. I wish I'd have installed it on all my other ones. I also added a bedcover and the bulletproof phone mount. All worth the money for me.

Congrats! Looks like a nice truck!

I am! My wife and I have worked very hard to get to this point. We are truly blessed.

Boy they are really cranking those trucks out now. Two months is pretty quick! Mine took just 3 weeks shy of a full year. A lot of after Covid supply chain stuff going on then. I am really happy that you are being rewarded for your hard work! You will love this truck! My advise is DO NOT stray away from the oil they recommend for this engine. Seems like many of the cam failures I have read about, they were not using the required oil. All the blame could be on the parts but I personally didn't want to chance it. Penz 0W-40 is a very good oil anyway so I never seen the need to stray away from it. It is a bit harder to find but if you think ahead you can get it on Amazon at a pretty good price. Enjoy your truck! :happy160:

I love how you put short in quotes! Haha! I’m only 5’6”, so yea, I’m “short”!

Thank you for the kind words! I will make sure I follow the manual to a tee. I’m not going to be putting a ton of miles on this truck as I have a company car for daily driving (business and personal). Im heading to the dealer today to inspect it and go over financials. That way tomorrow will be quick and easy. Anyone have any input on what to look for other than cosmetic issues during transit?

They must have released the rail car hold on the Mexican border. All Ram HD trucks are assembled in Mexico. They closed the rail crossing for some time over the ta-do about immigrants and drugs.

I just got done at the dealer checking it over with a fine tooth comb. Looks great! Isn’t detailed yet, but here are some additional pictures. Picking it up tomorrow!

Mine is granite crystal metallic, but the patriot blue is beautiful also.
