As for me, I've always been a Mobil 1 guy, though I haven't had my first oil change yet. I'm reading about this Amsoil oil, is it batter for a 5.7?
Amsoil is good stuff. If your willing to pay for the best then id look at amsoil, redline and high performance lubricants. Mobil 1 is also a great option especially the european car formula 0w40

Lake Speed oil analysis explained with prices for just oil, and also for different extraction kits.

I've watched a lot of his videos. He seems to really know his stuff. He was the oil guy for Joe Gibbs racing, and helped develop different oils.

Hes a smart dude for sure developed alot of racing oils and i believe was the formulator for driven oil. He seems to be working with high performance lubricants to atleast with that last video

So it is that good, we'll, I'll certainly try it, that's for sure. What do you recommend for my first oil change? I see there are several types of synthetic oils, anyone you personally recommend? I have a 2024 Rebel. Thank you very much for everything

Yep, $62 bucks. I guess you're paying for fast turn around and his experience. He's not but about 50 miles from me, so, it shouldn't take but about 3-4 days to get mine, if I go that route.

I have two sample bottles from Blackstone for when I do my first change, which should be very shortly, as I'm at about 5300 miles on my last oil change.

This will be my second oil change since I bought it in June 2022. The oil had just been changed when I bought it, and I didn't know what oil was in it, so I didn't get it analyzed then.

The oil with the absolute best track record on this forum is redline high performance series not the black bottle professional series either 5w20 or 5w30 both have great track record. However based on personal experience i have only used high performance lubricants out of those 3

Then my friend, if that's the route you go, then that's the route I'm definitely going to go, thank you very much. I'll upload screenshots of what I pick up. Thank you very much.

Oil analizers is better at least you get a price, but do you have to join amsoil to get one? Blackstone looking better everyday, lol.
You can get a six month membership for like $10, the money saved just one UOA kit cost compared to Blackstone covers the cost of the six month membership and you buy more than $49 of stuff to get free shipping.. Blackstone standard oil test is $35 if you want TBN/TAN add $10.. The Amsoil kit is $21.65 non potage paid, the postage cost to mail it in is about $5.75 based on my last sample to Cummins last fall or if you buy postage paid kits they cost $29.95 <--- this is still cheaper then Blackstone...

Has anyone used the wix analysis before?
I used it a few years ago with my wife's car. It was OK, but didn't seem to have as much info as what I had seen online from Blackstone.

That was around 5-6 years ago, so things may have changed.

My next will be only the second oil analysis I have had done.

So can you find other options for gl4?

Did not see any in syn beyond Mobil Delvac 1 Transmission Fluid 50 (SAE 50 wt), not in an 80W (SAE 30-40 wt) which is what the UTV little gearbox is spec'd for. And this only in a gallon jug when I need one quart.

Just now I googled a bunch of Mobil Industrial Manual Transmission Oils (GL-4), but these you only get at a Mobil Distributor in gallons/pails/drums.

Hpl may have something for you but you would need to ask david ward or david stoiber. Also no clue on price

Yeah you used to be able to buy off off the shelf, but almost all consumer vehicles got slushboxes now needing ATF oil.

ATF too thin for final drive gears.

I bit the bullet and bought my 1 quart Red Line racing transmission oil.

Yes, sorry - I saw that, was trying to match as close to 80W as possible per mfg recommendation since the final drive on this UTV isn't a sliding gear - it's just a straight bevel cut gear for outdoor use, 80W upper limit is 10.0 cSt @ 100 deg C.

Red Line MTL 85 is 12 cSt @ 100 deg C
Amsoil 75W-90 Man. is 14 cSt @ 100 deg C

Red Line MTL 75W80 is 10.2 cSt @ 100 deg C, which is ideal, but boy's Harley trans takes the MTL 85 so I bought that for both.
