You should have no problem. My truck is identical to yours except it's 2WD. I tow a 6500 lb. tt with 920 lb. tongue weight and have zero issues: no sway, lots of power, string braking. Of course, WDH and brake controller are all set up properly, as others have advised.

@Gary Fields it would be an American football field, I'm not sure Canada knows what a football field is... LOL
I should have said 1.5 hockey rinks and the Canadians would know exactly how long!

The EcoD does 480 ft/lbs at 2K and I honk and wave at the Hemis stopped to refuel as I pass them.

That's not that heavy of a trailer. As long as the WDH is setup halfway correctly and the trailers brakes are working it shouldn't be an issue. Speaking of brakes, that is my biggest concern.
Just like anything that is new to you, start out taking it easy and get the feel for it.

Absolutely. Trailer brakes work great. Was told it is best when pulling trailer to get your beaks on truck and trailer looked at once a yr. I am going to do that when I switch winter tires. Good breaks good WDH and a 5 gallon pail should be all set lol

Speaking from experience I would first address the Trans temp issues. Ask wild one he has been talking about it for years and spot on.
