Bad ass .. I hope a 4 flat for you .. hook um up and rip it !!

If I can hit 4's you can ..

That would be a good race .. 4 sec CTD vs 4 sec Hemi

I promise I will not boost launch ..LOL

Wish my Smarty programmer would show me my 0-60... I'm guessing with my "lack" of mods I'm in the 6.5-7 range (non boosted)

not too sure about 0-60, but i ate my friends 07 Mustang gt a while ago with a boosted 4x4 launch. People just can't see past the weight of the truck, thinking they're heavy and slow. Boy did the look on his face make my day

4x4 launch in 4 high is ok long as your cv's are close to flat. 4 low on pavement is a no no because tou do take a chance of breaking stuff.

And from what I understand, you aren't supposed to go faster than I think 30 in 4-low. Btw, I have the on the fly 4x4 shifter (manual)..do you guys just leave it in 4 with the launch, or do you switch back to 2 during a run??

Pavement mine has been up to 95 in 4 high in a striaght line, turning is a no no. 90% of the time it wont unlock under load during the run, tried it twice at the track and both times mine would not change till I let off at the top of the track. 4 lo is for low traction. Sand racing is the only time my truck runs 4 low at speed, 60 mph through the traps. That being said unless your in a sand race wouldnt go over 10 in low because of the gearing. Most of the diesels run 4 high in the sand because they wont turn the rpm and the gearing, mine might have to be ran in 4 high now just depends on the first run it makes.

Oh ok got it! One more question lol. Adding a leveling kit probably wouldn't be good if I occasionally do 4x4 launches, right?

For the safety of the truck lol

The 1500's have 1/2 shafts and I believe you got the solid diff so you can raise as much as you want.

I have leveling keys and new Mopar 1/2 Shafts and they do not shake like the rebuilds (been thru 4 of those) I only shift back into 2wd after I have de-throttled during a 0-60 Run.

If I ever do a 6" lift that could make too much angle as Kenneth mentioned, so maybe just a Body Lift in my Future but I do like the 2 Inch overall lift I have and do not really want to loose my Tow-Hooks...LOL>

Hey guys,
I see that this is an old thread, but I have a few questions.

First: Is this challenge still on?
Second: Are 5.7 Hemi's allowed?
Third: What type of SuperChips handheld is it in the first post?
Fourth: Where doe the SuperChips plug in?
Fifth: Is the SuperChips in real time?
Sixth: How much does the SuperChips cost?

I have very minor modded my engine and would like to find my 0-60 before I go any farther. (Which I will anyway, but would like to know the difference between now and next.)

I use to drag race a '74 Nova and a '88 Honda Hurricane at Beaver Springs Drag Strip for years. Always did about 168 m.p.h. in the Nova and 202 m.p.h. on the Hurricane. This will be the first time without being on the strip to run a beast this heavy, but with the power plant like none of the other two.

Thank you for your time,

Welcome. This thread is open for any ram who wants to post up. The super chips is popular for this thread and so is the AI gauge. Both have you start from a dead stop and is fairly close on actual et.

Cool, I'd like to run, but I need a SuperChips Item # of the model used on the first page or equivalent so I can join in.
