Hey yall
I have an '03 2500 5.8L 4WD Ram and the lower steering shaft u-joint is toast. Dodge recommends replacing both upper and lower shaft components since the lower part is now discontinued.
My question is; can i use an aftermarket shaft like the Borgeson universal telescoping steering shafts instead of dropping another $500 in parts to fix the issue? the one in the truck is about 13" in length and I cannot find it anywhere.
has anybody done this job on an '03 2500 4WD?
