Hey, I have an 05 ram 1500 with a 5.7 Hemi. I’m trying to replace the fan clutch but the first clutch I bought did not have the right size shaft on it and the blades would have struck the engine, so I went and returned it and they gave me a different one. Now this new one has a shaft that is a little bit longer then the original part but the kicker now is that the threads arnt nearly as deep as the original part by about 200 thou. Has anyone else had this issue with finding a clutch that matches exactly? Is that okay if the fan clutch I put on doesn’t use up all the threads on the shaft?
