Hey guys/gals I have a 2006 ram 1500 with the 4.7 and it just died on me yesterday and now it will crank but will not start. No fuel pump whine and no codes relating to ignition system. was a code for lean after stalling in park. I was not in the truck when it did this but I am going on a whim and gonna say it just sputterd out. There is no pressure in the fuel rail. I do have crank signal and I have checked the TIPM (This is the fully solid state crap) No corrosion there and nothing lookes or smells burnt (I have taken the casing off and the conformal coating is intact and not darkened or anything.) I am confused as useually if it is a fuel pump it would show signs way in advance before just going kaput. Before this happened the truck would accelerate like normal for a truck with almost 400K it did not sputter or buck even while going around corners and I could redline all day with out any drop outs. Not saying I'd push the poor girl that hard.
I have checked to the best of my knowledge with the only decent looking wiring diagram I could find the ASM in and out wires and Fuel pump in and out wires (as it is described in the wiring diagram) showing no voltage on any of them. (if asm is dead would the truck not have power at all??)
