08 Exhaust

Looking to get a little more rumble out of my 08 5.7, I am changing tires to a 305/55/20 soon for tires, I pretty much do all highway driving so I want a little rumble but I don't want to get annoyed, I have heard leave the stock muffler and take out resonator, or leave resonator and change muffler, I want to know it when I step on it, but I don't want a headache at 70.

I personally run a 22'' Maggie, 5'' MBRP tips and resonator delete on my 12 ram. It sounds great under WOT and I have no such issues with drone, I drive at highway speeds a lot. And will also be switching tires soon as well lol. 305/45/22.

I am a bit embarrassed of my bumper as I suffered an unseen hit and run at wal mart in February. Let me see if I can find my picture....The tips are black by the way

I deleted the huge (like 24") stock muffler first and it sounds great if your the type that doesnt want too much racket. A lil rumble at start up and on accel but nothin at idle or highway speeds. Next step is replacing the first muffler with a flowmaster 10
Gonna keep the stock resonater ( just before the tip) to keep the pigs from having to crawl too far under my truck

I had to replace the entire exhaust on my truck when the engine was replaced. Dual exhaust from the stock manifolds on the Viper V10 engine, dual flowmaster mufflers, out the back behind the rear wheels. Fully custom job. Tried it without the crossover pipe at first was not impressed, had the muffler shop install a crossover pipe and it sounder much better.
I would suggest either flowmaster or magnaflow for a muffler, and remove the resonator.

My 08 has a Flo-pro muffler and a Magnaflow Y-pipe. Sounds modified from the outside and slightly different inside, but not annoying or droning at all!
