A better shock would likely help, when you upgraded tires the unsprung weight becomes a bit much for stock twin tube shocks to handle. High speed compression and rebound damping becomes a bit lack luster and they don't react well to fast choppy road conditions. Essentially the shock can't compress and extend fast enough to keep up with the uneven conditions and kind of "sticks" or gets stuck essentially since it can't react as fast as the road. My 5100s did the same thing when I jumped up to a big heavy 35" combo. If it's in the budget a decent set of rear shocks would help 100%. Otherwise like you said, it's a bit of a compromise with changes.

I had replaced the rear shocks with Monroe Relfex, which is supposed to be valved to react quicker. It is noticeably better than stock. Nowhere near as bad as the '12 Chevy 2500HD I had for a while from work, that was like driving an empty dump truck.

I read elsewhere the Jeep coil spacer will work on the rear. Is this correct? What year jeep and what model jeep? for 4th gen ram 1500 4wd?

Install on rear under the coil springs

https://www.4wheelparts.com/p/rubicon-express-75-coil-spring-spacer-lift-kit-re1333/_/R-BKTG-RE1333

FWIW, I tried couple different setups, running just the spacer, then added air bags (for towing), followed by removing the spacer and just running the air bags (set at 20-22psi to get enough lift), finished up with the spacer back in and the air bags set at 8-10psi. Very happy with the ride height , ride quality and handling with this combo.

Still have the same set up? If so how has it held up?
