I found a very good deal on my 2wd I don't go offroading much and if I do I keep up with my 4x4 buddy's which are very surprised I have more ground clearance then a 4x4 also and what would you rather drive a lifted truck or a stock truck

Lmao the maxtrac kit alone can clear 37s I added a 3 inch body lift and then 2 inch spacers on top of the coils I will clear 38s with some rubbing but I'm going to fix that with a custom front bumper from showtime metal works

I'm running 10" of lift as well on my 2wd, only running 37x12.50r20 tires. 13.50 wide tires rub or I'd be running 38's. Even with a custom bumper youll rub with the offset of your wheels. Trust me bro, I was one of the first (if not the first) with 10" of lift on a 2wd years ago, tried a lot of different setups. So goodluck

Agreed, I don't think you will clear with the x12s. Custom bumper is great, but what about the otherside? Front fender delete kit?

Also, I don't think the maxtrac 7" will handle 37s as easily as you think. You can barely even get away with x12s and 35s without a body lift. If you really are heart set on 38s for whatever reason, 20x10s and 38x13.50 toyos would probably be best. If you just want 15 inch wide tires, then im not sure.

Trust me on this, 38x15.50s will beat up the front end of any half ton truck. And its going to slowwww that truck down. And you will need a mile for braking.

But hey, you have to go through these steps on your own. Ive already been down this road lol.

What's the offset on your wheels? I have bilsteins maxed and a 6" suspension and had to do a good bit of trimming with my 37s. And 2wd :puke:

I bought a 2WD because I didn't at the time, and still don't need a 4x4. It was an unnecessary upgrade for me. If I had the disposable income for it, then sure I would've bought it.

From my understanding, the Bil's only work on the 4x4's, right? I have a 2WD, so I'm stuck with a lift or spacers. I'm good with the 35's, don't want to overstuff the wells, and I'm ok with a little mpg loss but my truck also has 3.92's so I'm not worried about the power.

Thanks again for the suggestions and pics.

Yes, bilsteins only work on 4wd. Unfortunately, dodge is still doing separate frames/suspensions between the 2/4wd. So you have a coil spring and shock vs just a strut (or coilover).

3.92s will definitely help. They also make a 295/60r20 that looks good. 34x11.50 I think?

That's what I thought. Probably going to do the spindle lift and use a 295/65/20.

295/65 and 35s are basically the same, so you could do either. It wont rub unless you buy crazy wide wheels.

I'm going to use the factory 20's that came with the truck. The 295/65 is basically a 35 1/2" tire but I feel more comfortable with an 11.6" wide tire than a 12.5". Just personal preference. Thanks for the info.

Finally got everything installed, couldn't be happier with the outcome! It made the truck taller than I was expecting but I'm glad I did the spindles instead of a spacer. Also added a load lifter 5000 on the rear end for towing my trailer.

And one more..

Did you do anything in the rear besides the helper bags? I am considering getting the 4.5" spindles from Maxtrac but I am not sure what to do with the rear (don't really want a big Cali-lean).

I have a 2015 Lone Star 2wd crew cab.

Also, what tire size are you running?

I'm looking at doing the same thing to my truck. A lot of people have said to get the 3" rear springs along with the 4.5" spindles.

I can't stand that "bro" look. My truck sits perfectly level, which is what I wanted. I had to do the 1.5" blocks in the rear but, that all came together with the MaxTrac kit. I also upgraded the rear shocks to Bil's but that didn't change the height. If I had gone with the 3" rear spring it would've sat higher and gained some of the rake back which I didn't want. I did add the bags in the rear so I don't bottom it out when I'm towing my trailer. I'll measure it tonight and get back to you with some exact numbers.

I'm running a 295/65/20 tire, which according to Nitto's website is a 35.46" tall tire. So it's a little taller than a 35x12.5 but not as wide. No rubbing issues.

Thanks for the information; this is exactly what I was looking for!

Just to confirm, you have a 2wd right?

I look forward to hearing back from you with the measurements.

Yep, I have a 2wd Laramie. Here's a pic of the front wheel well.
