new to this gen, but I feel as though a metallic clunking/clatter sound is coming from drivers side front. Not during at speed travel but more so at 10mph or less, smalle speedbumps small potholes etc. I notice it the most traveling on churt rock roads less than 10 mph( which I travel quite a few miles on for second job) it annoys the s out of me. Seems to happen when suspension cycles at a faster rate. Had it at the dealer and they said they could not duplicate it. Are there any known issues regarding this? I did see the tsb for the 2500 cab mounts but can’t really find anything on 1500’s. Thanks y’all. If it’s normal it’s normal , just want to get it sorted out before it comes apart. Any suggestions on getting them to take a closer look?

Not normal. I would start by checking the struts, bushings and move on to the suspensión components.

Maybe tie rod. Have a alignment done see if they can do it. I had to have both of them replaced in my 11. Another noise I had was the front drive shaft if you can get under the truck and shake it might be the u joint to your front diff.

I know this is probably going to sound ridiculous but its worth investigating. I also had a clunk that I thought was coming from the front of the truck somewhere. Anytime I went over a bump, especially while turning I got some clunks. It was also much worse when it was cold outside. After checking all the suspension components loosening and retightening the cab mounts and a whole lot of other little ******** it turned out to be the hood. All I did was adjust the hood bumpers out some and replace the teflon tape where they make contact under the hood and the noise was gone. Just by adjusting the bumpers out the noise was 75% gone. I used masking tape until I was able to get some teflon tape. I'm going on 3 months now and she's still as quiet as a church mouse.

So I had it back for a tire leak, and played the service writer a video that finally got his attention. Going to make an appointment next week. I have a video but not really sure how to post it here.

I will have to take a look at that one! Nothing would surprise me at this point lol. I do almost swear it’s coming from steering column area, doesn’t matter which side of truck is hitting bumps makes noise in the same spot
