16' 1500 owners - have you had brake issues (warped rotors, etc)?

I bought my truck new, don't tow or haul and my rear rotors were warped at less than 18K miles (Chrysler said I was not covered by warranty).

I could not deal with the front brakes squealing or the rear warped rotors any more and just did all new front and rear rotors and pads, massive improvement!

I have been seeing a lot of people having issues with brakes lately and most seem to be 16's. Based on what my rotors looked like (a lot of contaminants in the steel) I feel that Ram got a bad batch of rotors from their supplier.

I want to see how many people have had issues with their 16's and try with Ram one more time to address this issue of sub par components.

My front brakes squeel louder than a Liberal at an NRA convention. My rears havent warped, but I do notice how fast they rust. Every time I wash the truck by the time im done the rotors have already changed colors. When leaving it parked over the weekend there is noticeable rust on every rotor.

I have a 16 ram and had to replace both my front/rear rotors/pads at 50,000km.

Had a caliper slide pin seize on the front passenger side. And the squeaking was unbearable.

Replaced all rotors/pads with EBC, all new caliper hardware, and I have been very pleased since

Not limited to the 16's.My 15 had crap rotors also.Year and a half and about 12 k miles and they were all replaced.

No issues here - yet. Going on 38,000 miles - and most of that is stop and go traffic including hard braking from high speed. Just replaced my tires, but brakes and rotors seem ok so far.

Nothing so far. Just shy of 41k and driven at least 30 miles a day.

Over 66,000 miles on factory pads and rotors, checked them over close when I swapped the snows off and summers on. I will be doing them this summer haven't decided if I'll just do pads or pads and rotors. One thing I have observed over many vehicles is many cases of so called warped rotors are not actually warped so much as rust. The inner and outer edges of the rotors get a rust and metal ridge that the pad is not touching till the wear patterns change then it comes in contact creating a pedal that pulses and brakes that grab and release. I have pulled rotors of and remove that ridge, reinstalled and the brakes are fine. Also I have seen rust forming between the wheel hub and the back side of the rotor which throws the rotor out of alignment and causes pedal pulsing the same as a truly warped rotor would. Seldom do rotors actually warp unless extremely over heated and abused.

Mine squeal pretty bad! Waiting for my R1 Concepts rotors and pads to arrive so I can FINALLY have quiet brakes again!!
