So after reading all the efan threads. I went ahead and ordered one part number 52014772AF from a 15-16 3.6l. My truck is a '17 so that is the latest part number closest to my year I can find. It doesn't look much different than my a/c fan. See the pic comparison below. The connector reaches to the original spot and the fan slides right in. However the plugs are different see the pictures below. It looks like this fan has a high and a low since it has 3 wires. So now I am not sure what I want to do. I am about to go reread some of the threads to see if I can fix my problem somehow. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What did you end up doing? Looks like you got the wrong fan and should have gotten a fan from an older 3.7, not 3.6

Right now I it is sitting in my shed. In looking at some wiring diagrams it looks like I could actually install it. The 80amp fuse is there in the fuse block. I just need to see id if it is possible if the signal is coming from the bcm or pcm. If it is coming from the pcm, I need to see if guy that tuned my truck can activate/see if that port on the PCM is available and install the fan tables. then it would be just a matter of running the control wire.

I did this before on my when I added camero efans to my old silverado. They used the same PCM as a camero that had electric fans. he activate the port with the fan tables and I pinned out the pcm cable. Worked fantastic. From what I can tell the '17 1500's share the same pcm across engine types.

I just wish it would stop storming here on the weekends. Makes things hard to tinker with.
