17 Vs 16 Cargo light..

ok well here is the question... i bought led tails and headlights.. they work great

now i tried to order the blacked LED cargo lights from the same people..

but i got this in reply

" Sorry but the 2016 and 2017 has different connections and mounting brackets

Unfortunately it may look the same but it is not, otherwise we would definitely sale them to you "
?
is this true ? Anyone swap their 17's in favor of this setup?

Screw that, order it and if it doesbt fit, send it back. I find that hard to believe 2016-2017 is different.
