I'll be getting new wheels and putting 35" tires on them soon. Not sure if I want 18s or 20s. What are the pros and cons of these two wheel sizes?

I went thru the same dilemma. Even though mine is a 4x4 I will only be using it to tow thru areas needed. 18's will give you way more tire look and ride. I went with the 20"s with the 35" tires and really glad I did. Looks way better imo.

20's will look better....maybe a biased opinion though.

Lots of things to consider in this choice. I just went through this 2 months ago. Like post #2 asked "what's the purpose of the truck" also we need a little more information to give u a good opinion. Is ur truck stock, leveled, or lifted. And if it is leveled or lifted what applications are u running.

for looks it is personal preference. with 18's since there will be more sidewall on the tire the ride can feel a little smoother, and in some instances depending on tire type, make, and model the costs of 18's could be cheaper.

my personal preference is that 20's look better

There are a lot of answers to this question. Just to keep it simple, larger wheels (lower profile tires) are better for negotiating corners. Smaller wheels (larger profile tires) are better for trail use. I prefer larger tires with smaller wheels. My Blazer had 15" deep dish steel wheels with 35" tires for rock crawling. Less likely that the wheels would get broken and I could lower tire pressure to gain more traction. I will run 18"s on mine when I get it lifted only because I think it will be the smallest that will fit. I would say because its most likely not going to be dedicated for offroad use or racing, get whatever looks better to you.

20's all the way. Like the big wheel look. 18's probably ride smoother. More sidewall. 18 inch rims a little less money, but tires around the same price.

I went 20's. I like the look more. Looks a little more custom in my opinion. Ride is good.

20's look better! 18's will prob ride a little better but mine rides pretty nice on a Carli Level kit! I 035a6bb118fd25abd5220e033235a684.jpgwent with a 295/65 on a 20x9... I didn't want a 12.5 inch wide tire. ced34bb3c725b8d0225449e2d19bc739.jpg

I8" wheels for me , even 17s imo look better than 20s .

I just prefer the big tire look .
And I do lots of offroading , like the smoother ride , less likely to get curb rash , less likely to get packed with snow or mud and less torque ,mpg and passing power loss due to the tires rubber weighing less than the alluminum wheel .
For me it's mainly about the looks I just like the 18s over the 20s , but I drive in mud & deep snow sometimes and it's a pita when mud or snow gets packed in my 20" stockers .

about the only diff other than looks might be rotational mass issue..with 18" you might see a slight better mpg, slight quicker acc and decel...May not even notice..
There will be a diff in $$....18" is cheaper, depending on the tire size n choice..

It will mostly be for looks with occasional trips to the beach in texas. Truck will be lifted 4". I'm leaning towards 20s.
