I had a 180 tstat installed and when it's completely warmed up my temp gauge stays between cold and the middle. it never reaches the middle of the temp gauge. Is that normal with this thermostat? I ask because I had one years ago with another truck and don't remember it being like that?

Its on a 2007 dodge ram 1500 5.7L

Wrong forum for a 2007.

You should hook a scanner into the OBD port to verify accurate functionality before installing aftermarket equipment since you don't have heads up digital temperature readings.
