1996 1500 Drum Brakes help

I am in the process of rebuilding the right rear brake drum back onto a salvaged backing plate, the hydraulic line fits into the wheel cylinder but how does the emergency brake line attach to the backing plate? I purchased the "rear cable guide" from Pepboys but it doesn't even fit around the head of the emergency brake line. Is this connector a piece that would have come with the factory plate? Also is the right and left emergency brakes identical? I appreciate any help, please post pictures if you have them or a link to the part I am searching for. Thanks in advance.

got it in last night! now just have to rebuild the brakes! im gonna try and make a DIY for this also. drum brakes suck...

Yes ... a DIY would be awesome as I have rear drums .... could come in handy

we also pulled the bearing and seal just cause. dont have any pictures of that but ill write something up too.
