Can I swap out my stock 2019 20" (275/60R20) wheels for 17" (265/70R17) wheels off a 2018 Ram?

I plan to replace my summer 20" alloy rims with a set of 17" alloys whenever it's time to replace the tires.

The 17" rims with a larger profile tire provide better comfort from my experience.

You might want to consult with an online tire comparison calculator before choosing your new tires to match the circumference within 4% unless you use AlfaOBD to program the tire size.

My summer and winter tires are a different size which I correct with AlfaOBD.

When I entered 265/70R17, the difference was more than 4%.

I am not sure about tire sizes, so i asked Discount Tire how my Michelin tires would be different from the OEM Tires.
I was told that there would be a difference of 3 Miles in a 100 miles on the Odometer.

I could only guess that that would be the same when it comes to MPH on the Speedometer ?

Using the tire calculator I linked above, you can tweak the tire sizes and it will display both the % difference in circumference and the speedo error at various speeds.

And yes, this % of error will impact the odometer and speedometer.

There are several apps that will allow you to correct this error. AlfaOBD is my preferred because of other available tweaks.

AlfaOBD can be used on several vehicles whereas a jscan license is per vehicle. AlfaOBD is not VIN locked like a jscan license.

AlfaOBD is $55, AFAIK, jscan is $24, at least that's the last price I found.

The jscan app is easier to use for wheel size adjustments and basic lighting tweaks.

It also has a more user friendly GUI, online self help and IOS or Android support.

I've no experience using jscan, only read about it.
