20" vs 17"

I got a sweet deal on some 20" Factory (Dodge) rims with tires. My Ram came stock with 17". What is the down side changing over to the bigger wheels.....I see alot of 1500 Rams with 20's on the lot new. What gives....any foreseeable problems ?????

extra rotational mass/weight typically.
tires tend to be more expensive.

Tires are more expensive, technically the ride is harsher because you have less sidewall, etc etc, really it comes down to tire price and how you want it to look.

I say it all comes down to how you want it to look..personally I think the 20's look better

The only thing I would add is that 20's usually handle better in turns because of less sidewall roll.

I 100% agree. I had to dial back my driving when I went from 20s to 17s, its not a lot but its there.

x2 on tire price and how you want the truck too look. i like my 17''s because you get more tire and i personally like that look on a 4x4
