that truck never had 2.73 gears. lol Just a part number.

By that logic my front is a 94. :crazy:

Never figured it out, but the axles are near the same age as the truck.

By that logic my front is a 94. :crazy:

Never figured it out, but the axles are near the same age as the truck.

Lol my front ring gear has the same date as cover so that's stock, so front end is a 98. I still haven't took cover off of the rear to see if it also is a 95

I wouldn't doubt if the parts are older but manufactured (assembled) later.
I know for a fact that my front diff is the 98+ style due to the sway bar mounts, but my cover says 94.

Could you post a picture of your sway bar mounts? Then if mine are the same then I'll know if it's a 98 lol

Pass side of the front diff tube there will be a BOM number look it up and it will tell you all you need to know. Might need to clean that area up with a wire brush to find it.

Oh gotcha. The main deal was to show a general idea of what it looked like.
The truck in question in that picture I posted supposedly has a 10in lift.

Havin fun today, putting all the parts together got the pinion set, gears torqued, axles in, shift collar in, hubs on cover on and lookin good
