I had intermittent starting issues. Took it to one shop who said it was ignition and replaced it. They delivered it to another shop to put new tires on it. The second shop told me it was still not starting right and put it a coil. That solved the issue. It now starts and runs fine. But shop #1 may not have even needed to put that ignition in due to shop #2 saying it was the coil. But when shop#1 did ignition they created this new issue of the chime when key is in off position. Also, it is intermittent. Key in / key out stops or starts chime at random.
Shop #1 may not fix it I know they dont want to because they told me about it before they gave it to me and then gave it to me telling me it was fixed (so it seems like they gave up and am just hoping i will go away). Is there any relatively easy way to just Disable Chime on 2002 Dodge Ram **** Van or anyone know why putting in a new ignition would cause this issue?
