i left my house. truck started fine. about 30 seconds later the engine just shut off. no noise or anything. so i pulled over. cranked it, wouldnt start.
so its at home now.
- all the fuses look fine.
- theres no CEL code
- it has spark
- i listened underneath and the fuel pump does whine for a few second when you turn the key.
- i sprayed starter fluid and it tried to start. so i guess that means the ignition is all fine.
so im assuming if i have spark and it fires with fluid down the throttle body, then it must be a fuel delivery problem?
i did a lot of reading and some people with similar problems, it ended up being the cam positioning sensor?
any thoughts would be good. also if you have a suggestion of what part or what it could be, could you also let me know where that part can be found on the truck/engine? thx
