Hi guys. I am wondering if you can help me with a rough idle? I have a 2003 2500 5.7 Hemi with 55,000 miles. I had my exhaust and both O2 sensors replaced a few weeks ago and now it is running rough at a idle when in park or neutral. If it is in gear the rough idle goes away. It does have a slight hesitation when I want to go from a stop light. The rough idle seems only to be when the truck is warmed up. When I am driving it it seems smooth as can be. Could it be bad O2 sensors or the throttle body? Thanks

Might just need to reset the system. Disconnect the battery for a few mins.

Other than that id lean towards vacuum leak since it only happens when warm.

Thanks I will try that. I think I might pull throttle body off and clean it up and see if that helps.

Performing any sort of preventive maintenance is always a good idea whether it fixes your problem or not

A couple times a year i go through and clean my MAF, TB, air filter, battery terminals etc. Im at 158k miles and have never had engine issues

That is a low mileage 03.. but since it is a 03 you always have to consider a broken valve spring when having a rough idle. With it's age you might consider changing the waste spark wires and plugs. I would start by removing the spark plugs looking for damage or anything odd. For some strange reason #6 was often the culprit.

Well I ordered OEM O2 sensors and replaced the aftermarket ones and my rough idle went away. So I think Gen 3 dodges likes OEM equipment or the aftermarket ones are faulty. Will be returning them.
Thanks

Denso is the OEM manufacturer for 3G Ram oxygen sensors. You can usually save a few bucks buying the Denso instead of the dodge/mopar brand.
